They overestimate this offense. Of course, this offense has been fairly efficient this game in scoring opportunities. Really weird.

Dodgers' "closer" tonight had an ERA close to 9.00, and we STILL didn't even sniff a run.

And I don't know what the deal is with getting picked off of first. It is happening WAY too often.

The pitching staff has a 4.51 ERA (Tied for 6th-worst in MLB). That's just not going to cut it for a team that is built on pitching and defense. 3.93 FIP/3.85 xFIP are better but still in the middle of the pack for a team where the pitching needs to be a strength.

That is mainly due to Jeffries 1 start, Black’s 2 starts, Snell’s 3 starts and Winn’s last 2 starts. Hicks, Webb, Harrison and, until recently, Winn have been solid.

Funny, we on at the end of a trip today (Nashville-Memphis-LittleRock-Tulsa) and spent the morning at the Bob Dylan museum/archive in Tulsa. Really well done and worth a visit (as is the Woody Guthrie museum next door).
