Maximum fun for round 1, i'll take it. Deep down I always wanted to play the Pens. Nothing is more fun than playing the Pens in the playoffs.

First question to me is, who does Hak try to get Coots out there with? In the past it's always been Giroux v Crosby and Coots v Malkin, now that they're on the same line what does Hak do? I think you have to go Coots v Crosby, but then who do you have out there against Malkin? Going to be a tough matchup.

We're going to ask a lot out of young Nolan Patrick either way and also the third line needs to step up and score some goals. If we can play in their end of the ice and win faceoffs, it will play to our strengths. Grind them along the boards and get physical with their defense. We have to play this like it will be a long series and wear them out slowly.

I mentioned moving Giroux back to center, but it's probably too radical of a move at this stage of the game.

If we steal Tavares from the Islanders in the offseason or Frost is ready to center the third line in training camp, these issues become lesser.

I was actually hoping Coots would be on Malkin, hes done great in the past.

I think a key player in this series will be Scott Laughton.

Bring on Shitsburgh we can beat them in an exciting series with lots of goals. They only had 2 more points than us. They should be very nervous to draw us in the first round.

I believe we can to, but this has to stop.
If your team lets in five goals every game, you’re gonna have a bad time. That’s the lesson...
We need to play like we did during our win streak we have to raise our game way more significantly than we've played in the last 15.

So I'm pretty sure Kessel sustained an injury in the Pens 2nd to last game, haven't seen anything as to what extent, but being playoffs probably wont. Need to hammer him often.

In order to hammer Kessel we need a player that hammers people and we have Hagg as a healthy scratch for some unknown reason and when Gudas looks at a Penqueer he gets a penalty. Hopefully someone steps up.

Nashville went to the cup from the 8th seed last season so we can certainly make a run here.

Agreed. I think Coots matches up better with him wherein you need a team effort on Squid.
They have home ice so for the first two at least so they will be calling the shots on Couts match up to start.

Honestly I think that line has looked pretty good. Which is surprising.

A little out of the box here, but what about a Simmonds-Laughton-Read line to match up against Malkin and try to shut him down. (if they go the Coots v Crosby path, which I think i'm in favor of)
