We would be in front of Columbus right now if not for Simmonds lazy play.Another ROW given up by a dumb play.

No, but if we had beaten them head to head, we would be in front of them.

ROW = Regulation or overtime win and Giroux won it in overtime.

I'm not sure how many players in the world can replicate the solo effort by Konecny on his goal yesterday. He just about skated and stick handled through every Bruin on the ice and then beat Khudobin with ease. It makes you giddy for the future of this franchise.

This guy could be a 40 goal scorer and 80 point man next season. He's literally come that far.
What's more impressive is that one of those Bruins was Bergeron.

Good point. He'd be terrible at center, as shown previously... :L
Where did i say he would be terrible at center. Is this another one of those things that only happens in your head and nobody actually said it. This happens often you should really see someone about this.

At this time we have the same amount of points with the same ROW's as Columbus. If we had won the game yesterday in regulation time like we should've we would have the same amount of points and 39 ROWs to their 38 and be in front of Columbus. That's the first tie breaker.Nice try and good job though maybe you can get a consolation prize.:pound:

Sarcasm. I speak it fluently.

Giroux is all-world this season mostly because he had a full offseason of training, is 100% healthy and confident. Moving him to wing was just an added bonus that also worked out, not the main reason for his success.

Uh, we're tied at 38 ROW, yes. We were at 37 before the Boston game. An overtime win is an overtime win. The error by Simmonds did not cost us anything, thanks to Giroux.

Moving him to wing as acknowledged by every broadcaster who does a national game with the Flyers playing in it give Hacks the assist for Gee's playing at the level he is. Just sayin.

It's just one minor aspect of his success. Yes, everyone brings it up, but Giroux has had 93 points before at center. He's an elite player that has lost nothing now that he's 100% healthy.

Playing a 160 foot game and not a 200 foot game according to a lot of broadcasters this season is a major reason not a minor reason for his success this season.

The comments by broadcasters really don't matter to me.

Watching Giroux play for 75+ games this season, I can tell that he is as confident and strong as ever on a pair of skates. This is perhaps the very prime of his career, center or winger.

Ok. You got me.Ill believe you and not the several national broadcasters who have devoted their life to the game and get paid to know the game at an expert level. :tsk:

A lot of those guys are complete idiots, let's be real here. If they were that smart, they'd still be directly involved with the Nhl...Lol

I mean Mike Milbury? Enough said.

Bergeron didn't even know how to react getting beaten so badly.

True, but he later reacted by taking the body on Konecny for the rest of the game instead of the puck. It's what you'd expect from a Selke guy.

I definitely don't think Boston had their A game in that contest, however.

It's pretty simple.

You don't have to be paid to do something in order to be knowledgeable about it.

That and not everyone who does something for a living is actually good at it...Lol
