AMAC's icing was bad...but frankly not on the seem level as what Simmonds managed to pull off...

On the much more positive:
G: is the Century doable?
Ghost & Provorov: Both had excellent games
Filpulla looked at times too slow and disconnected

Did Laughton play? I honeslty don't remember seeing him

There were times in the game that I thought Gudas was playing hurt. He favors his one leg and really can't push off when he turns. I know he has a bad knee, but fortunately he was able to cover for himself with positioning.

Not that Manning and Gudas were bad per se...but they were the weakest pairing in the game for the Flyers. Envision Hagg and ... well ... Morin when healthy or Meyers ... and that pair is that much better.

G is a true leader and underrated in the NHL.
He is a top 3 candidate for the Hart this year.
I hope he gets to 100pts.

What a great win today. Keep it rolling. Lets catch the Pens for home ice

His skill and competitive fire are off the charts. 37 points in his last 26 games. That's a pace of 117 points for a whole season, so he's on another level right now. If not for McDavid, he might win the Art Ross and they probably won't give him the Hart either, but he deserves it.

100 points is definitely within reach. I say he gets there.

Pens just went down 0-3 to the Caps early in the 3rd period, so that gives us a chance. We need them to lose another game though against Columbus or Ottawa since they will own the tiebreaker against us no matter what.

Laughton played a lot less than everyone else, but he was part of a very noticeable 4th line. Lehtera is playing much better and Matt Read looks like he could play on any line right now. He is getting high quality chances left and right from the 4th line. Huge props to him for playing in the Ahl for 80% of the season and now really turning it on with the big club when he got his shot.

And yes, I'm just tired of Gudas especially, but also the entire third pairing. Myers might be better than either of them as we speak. T.J. Brennan is surely better too, but would get picked up on waivers.

So we have 3 games left against teams who are not playoff bound, 2 are at home, which means we'll lose at least 2 lol. Will be interesting to see if Elliott gets any reps before the playoffs,. I'd like to see him play for maybe a period if we could pull that off, just to work out the cobwebs.

So Haks is going to miss out on a huge teaching moment here, see nobody has my awesome thought process so I understand his shortcoming. See I would pull Simmer to an office 1 on 1 and I wouldn't say much, then I would let him watch the video of his stupidity 2 or 3 times, then I would shut it off, look him straight in the eye and tell him " Go play your game!" He would have 3 games left to unleash his fury!

A few observations:

We have the most OT/SO in the entire league. Still leaving too many points.
Gudas has become a weak link. Low percentage stretch passes while leading the game are killing us. Maybe it's time to get Hagg back in.
I hope Simmer gave himself an ass whooping after the game. It's like they forget the fundamentals in the last 30 seconds of the game.
Lindblom and Patrick are going to be a sick line for many more years.
Pens (2) at BJs, home Sens
BJ's (3) home Red Wings and Pens, away Predators
Flyers (3) away NYI, home Carolina and NYR.

First things first, we have 3 very winnable games remaining.

The Pens BJs game is big. Hopefully no OT and the BJs win. We should be able to pass the Pens in the standings.
If BJs win 2 and lose Nashville, we should also pass them.

Bottom line is that we have a realistic chance to finish 2nd in the division. I think that makes us a home team in the 1st round.

Looks like the Blues at Avalanche, last game of the season, could determine whether the Blues make the Playoffs. Would love to get the 15th pick next year.

I'm not sure how many players in the world can replicate the solo effort by Konecny on his goal yesterday. He just about skated and stick handled through every Bruin on the ice and then beat Khudobin with ease. It makes you giddy for the future of this franchise.

This guy could be a 40 goal scorer and 80 point man next season. He's literally come that far.

Awesome give away by Lehtera on Bostons 2nd goal. I think they even gave him an assist.
