You're jinxing the shit out of this, but Mrazek is not Neuvy. He's not a fragile goalie who gets hurt the second you start relying on him heavily. His injury history is almost spotless.

Again, I wouldn't just assume we're going to make the playoffs either. A streaking Florida makes it tougher to get in and if Pitt and NJ somehow pass us, there's no room for error. We need to ride our best players right now and if they get hurt, so be it.

I'm not saying he is Neuvy. Goalies don't start 3 in 4 very often in the NHL. They need recovery time. Reducing or eliminating that recovery time increases the risk of injury, regardless of who the player is.

Moving on to something we can agree on... how about those Blues!

If the season ended today they'd give us pick #14 I think.

Elliott and Mrazek have both done it multiple times this season already, so I'm guessing it's not as rare as you think it is.

Yeah, I bet Lasgop that they'd miss the playoffs. Not looking too good for him right now...Lol They are 10th in the west and 6th in their division, having played an extra game too.

Same coach, he does it and it's risky IMO. If it were easier to look up other numbers I would be legitimately curious on the non-Hak rarity.

Nah, Mrazek was playing for Jeff Blashill for the other ones.

It's hard to imagine how St. Louis is doing so poorly while Schenn has racked up 3 goals, 4 assists and a -3 over his last 15 games. A 46 point full season pace. If only we still had that guy...

I had to make an adjustment. I accidentally counted his zero points and -2 in the All-Star game. Well-deserved though.

Surprising to me to see their PP is #29. Looks like Schwartz missing 20 games really hurt.

I don't think it's insane to start a goalie 3 times in 4 nights either. In addition to Mrazek and Elliott, I see that Hellebuyck, Vasilevskiy, Dubnyk, Bishop, Lundqvist, Smith, Murray, Talbot, Jones and Howard have all done it this season. Probably more too, but I'm not going to check them all...Lol

I see the Blues lost Upshall too in addition to Bouwmeester and Stastny. You don't want to see anyone get hurt, but this will very likely make their first round pick even more valuable to us.

Would be funny if it somehow ends up being #11 overall...Lol

Since hes been back they are 6-10 with a 7 game losing streak in there.
Not sure if he isn't 100% healthy as he was averaging more than 1 point per game before he went down. I watched some of the Detroit game (2-1 w) the other night. Their forward depth drops off pretty rapidly after the top 6.

I would take the extra 3rd round pick if we must, but #11 overall this season sounds good. You never know how well (or how poorly) they'll do next season either.

Then perhaps we even have the option of packaging #11 overall and #20 overall plus something else to get into the top five. It's just a possibility if we really like a guy early in the draft.

After the top 6 the forward depth drops off dramatically sound just like our team.

Not really fair to say. Filppula, Raffl, Laughton and Lindblom all look pretty decent for not being technical top six guys. Add Weal to that list sometimes too.

Speaking of top six, Wayne Simmonds should be returning this weekend. That gives us some depth, for sure.

We have 9 forwards with at least 10 goals. Blues have 5 (only 4 on the current team).

That would be the dream! I wonder what they do if they end up at like 9 or 10. Gotta think they keep that pick and sacrifice the additional 3rd in 2019 to do it. Would be interesting though.
