I'm good with Bethea being a 2-3 year stop gap, but I'd like to see how his contract is structured. Ideally, I'd like his replacement to be drafted this year or next.

Whats the love a fair with this pick up? Those arguing that we got the steal of a life time and calling everyone else dumb, What do you see? He's not a ball hawk as suggested, was a pro bowler 5 years ago, and HIS offense was putting up like 30 points game and his PD and INTs are weak. Tackles are high but that mean people are catching the ball gaining yards. This is an OK signing at best, you all are going overboard with your arguments trying to vouch for this guy.

I agree this is a good start for the 49ers. If I had to rate this between 1-10 I give this a 8. We have to consider we just lost Whitner and we have a 1 year Safety in Reid it was good to add a vet. If was also smart to lock someone before the safety market got thin.

Overall good and smart move.
