Im a little confused. Whitner gets 4 years 28million and Bethea got 4 years 26 million. Yes Whitner got 26 Guaranteed but still why not keep a player that knows your system.

$23 mil

Really? Do your homework, the guy can ball, 2x pro bowler and is good for 100 tackles and couple INT's per year

Yes I agree he might be better then Whitner.

WOW Ware is gone from Dallas

Good sign after losing Whitner. This guy is smart, has good awareness, and can make tackles. A lot like Whitner

It is $23 mill over 4 years. Still waiting on breakdown.

I dont know if he is better, I think they are pretty equal, but after losing Whitner this was a great signing. I think Whitner was the better hitter but Bethea will do better in coverage playing behind Willis, Bowman and Brooks

I'm not familiar with safeties that much, but with 32 teams, is a Top 75 overkill? It's more than 2 per team. Just wondering.

It must include bench players or players that took some snaps during the year, I believe the Redskins have like 5 safties on their roster.

Yep, but if you are not Top 74 (or top 64), should you be on a list at all? Serious question because I don't know much about safeties. It was like when I heard someone argue Ponder was a top half QB because he included backups. He said he was Top 40 after someone backed him down. (The original comment was top half QB. I heard a similar argument to Smith, but this guy expanded it further. The Smith comment was in regard to some stat.)

Schefter said numbers aren't in yet on NFL insiders but said $6mil is what he is hearing

To be honest it's been reported for a couple days that they weren't going to pay the $ to whitner so I'm sure they had this move already planned out
