49ers sign Antonio Bethea

First glance it looks really bad but this might be one of those back loaded contracts filled with incentives that we know he's never going to reach.

If we were the Browns I'd be more worried because their org just seems to not know what they're doing, but Baalke and Co has been really good about these contracts.

I have watched him play a lot and he can play and tackle, $5.5 mil per year compared to $7 mil that Whitner got. I'm curious to see what the guaranteed money is, that will be the big part

Byrd will be around Whitner if not more. Ward might be asking for more as well

Im a little confused. Whitner gets 4 years 28million and Bethea got 4 years 26 million. Yes Whitner got 26 Guaranteed but still why not keep a player that knows your system.
