I’m with you nothing will be “fixed” until Jerry is gone and I agree Stephen could be worse.

My simple question is “when was the last time as a Cowboys fan were you excited and honestly believed we had a chance to go to the SB” not that we would but had a serious fighting chance? When we had the coaching staff and the players that could do It?
for me it was Parcells last year the last time I really believed we had a real chance.

See the problem remains the same. Players feel a cowboy sense of entitlement for just being a cowboy. Perhaps the greatest sign that Jerry is a hell of a salesman, cause that is what Jerry is all about.

Jerry needs to sell himself on hiring the right coach and staying out of the way for 4 years. If that does not do it then he really did make a deal with the devil.

I honestly think the best coaches available would love to coach in Dallas. The coaches aren't afraid of Jerry, Jerry's afraid of being over shadowed.

maybe you're right...I don't see that at all myself, but I'd like to see the fans get what they want. Hire another Jerry, inquiring minds wanna know if it was just bad luck with Garrett & McCarthy.

and Jerry is never going to allow that. he would rather carry on like he has for 20+ years

I understand, let's go get another head coach, I'm sure that will fix all the issues. We just need a guy who insists this team doesn't make stupid ass penalties. Quinn seems like the flavor of the month, I'm fine with that...assuming Quinn is. Who knows?

I’m with you. Running a new coach in isn’t necessarily the answer. Equal issue is players that don’t get it. Which always brings another quote to mind from another successful HoF coach;

I think Harbaugh or Sean Payton are two guys that are strong enough to get it done in Dallas. We need someone who can challenge Dak and elevate his game. And we need to get stronger up front. OL needs a starting C, G and a tackle ready to take over for TSmith sooner than later. And we need a big run stuffing DT(we've never said that on this board)

The problem remains Jerry Jones and his meddling . Jerry Jones and Stephen are terrible at contracts. Its really wash,rinse and repeat with these two. They fall in love with their draft picks and over pay them. The extensions given to Zeke and Jaylon Smith in 2019 were unneccesary and stupid. Zeke looks like he is done. Getting paid like he is a top 5 RB and he is no longer even a top 10 back. Jaylon Smith got paid even though it was obvious he never fully recovered from that injury. One of the main reasons the defense improved was the drafting of Parsons and Jaylon getting released. You may as well had 10 defenders on the field with jaylon out there.


Its stacked at certain postions,but there are lots of holes. The OL simply not getting it done. Tyron Smith looks like a cripple out there . Conner Williams is useless because he cant handle power or quickness. The Center is below average and the RT is playing like he got paid. The OL was a strength 5 years ago.
