I think that is right where he should go. He is the anti-LeBron. You can build a playoff team around him, but good luck building a contender.

Of course, that can probably be said for anybody outside the top few picks. Personally, I think there is a huge drop off in value after 6.

Agreed. That's why I'm doing my best to have a playoff type team now but also one set up for the future

I still think I got the best value pick at 4 with AD. Honestly, I would have took AD at #1. He is 22 and already a top 5 player. 3 years from now he will be 25 and most likely is the face of the NBA.

@Arizona_Sting Just a suggestion, you could probably sticky a "NBA Mock Draft Pick Thread" too, just the teams and draft picks. It would make things a lot easier for the future rounds and overall.

If there isn't a full draft thread showing picks made, this will be a massive cluster in a day or two. Look on the Mock draft board for examples

Also, if I am picking at the top, I want my superstar to be a proven winner. Davis is not there yet.

I think this will be a good exercise to see how people value certain players. There's no right or wrong formula, but you can honestly make an argument that if you could put together a perfect team to surround your superstar, they would also be capable of being a winner. Look at who AD and Cousins have had to play with their entire careers. Leonard is great, but he's had the chance to play with one of the best coaches in NBA history, and three potential hall of fame players, who defy all logic in keeping up their play at a high level.

I do agree, and also feel like the Pelicans have been terribly managed.

At the same time though, we still don't know how mentally tough Davis is. Sure, if you transplant him onto a top team with good chemistry, he will win. Cousins, however, I am not so sure about.

Nobody can win a title without a strong core around them. Not even Jordan.
