Exactly why I went with Paul George. SF is such a weak position depth wise compared to PG.

You can find a starting caliber PG later on in the draft. Skilled centers and SF's are extremely valuable. SG as well to an extent.
I was close to choosing Wiggins as well because of the lesser overall strength at SG as compared to PG's.

Yeah, SG is top heavy. There is some good depth in the position, but a lot of role players rather than #1 or #2 options compared to other positions.

I was hoping for Butler or Cousins, and both were picked in the 2 spots ahead of me. :gaah:

Agreed. And that's another reason why I didn't think taking LeBron over Curry was OMG bad.

There are lots of strategies in play

Refresh my memory. Are we building a team for this year only ... or for the next 5-10 years ?

If Porzingas, Melo, Russell, Timmy are available ... who to choose ?

My interpretation was we are doing team to "win now" and also for the future.

I'm trying to do my best to get a solid team for both.

We are going to hold two separate votes:

1) Best team RIGHT NOW
2) Best team for the future (aka 3 years from now how your team will look)

Then we can also vote on the 8 playoff teams from each conference, etc.

James Harden is a shithead but hes gonna go like next right? Maybe Jimmy Butler? No Cp3 yet either?----

is this type ofconversing frowned upon or encouraged to talk about next avaliable during the draft? never done one

gotta say-

LEBron has just made the freaking Finals the last 5 years. Hes ridiculously versatile. If your building a team - and i can understand the Curry arguments---- but you go with the 6' 8" 275 lb monster that is the best transition player in the league, but also one of the games best passers, and scorers, and rebounders at his position...LeBron just does it all and could really play any position for the most part for at least parts of games. I have no clue who is gonna be there at 60 and 61 but i know that they match PERFECTLY with LeBron James.

Can we wait for 3 years to vote on #2 ? (obviously not ... so we have to project to what other people will think happen in 3 years.)

We'll queue up James Harden, Dwight, Blake and Rondo for you.

Sleep well.

I prefer him over Butler, just a personal preference. Didn't want to go with Boogie. Thought about KAT but I thought 7 was too high in that spot.

Klay is avg. 21 ppg, 42% from 3, 47% from the field and 85% from the line.
