Wait, people are picking for the future? The eff? I thought this was a present day thing only thing. Like My Squad vs Your Squad plays RIGHT NOW. That's the whole point of doing the NBA 2k sim.

I think it's both. We judge the best team in the present day and we also judge which team would be the best 3 years from now

That's dumb. 3 years is too much guess work. If you wanted to make it challenging, you should have added a salary cap or something. Doing this for the present is already subjective enough as it is, 3 years from now is ludicrous.

I somewhat agree with the sentiment, but it is all in fun. A lot can happen in 3 years.

Things were moving really well for awhile.

@Arizona_Sting made his 7th round selection on Tuesday evening. Since then, as a group we have made 12 picks in 4.5 days. That is really sad. We still have 81 picks to go. At the current rate, we won't finish this until late April.

Let's get moving. Too many people are getting caught off guard when it is their time to pick. If you know you won't be able to post as your pick time approaches, then make a list when you do have time and send it to someone who will be around. Simply checking in once a day will allow you to keep track of who is being taken. If you forget this draft exists for a week and then try to pick when your time comes, then yeah, it is going to be tough to know who is available.

I get that, but as a guy who picked 29th no way do I have better than a far outside shot as a "now" winner... The salary cap thing may have been better but we would have lost people starting in round 5 instead of 7... :noidea:

Love my team so far. I have two picks to round out a back up ball handler and another wing, but I have lots of depth and flexibility on my roster to either go small or big.

PG - Eric Bledsoe
SG - Devin Booker/Alec Burks
SF - Harrison Barnes
PF - Blake Griffin/Jordan Hill
C - Andrew Bogut/Tiago Splitter

Yeah, you'd get my vote for winning now and would be a top 3, at worst, for winning in 3 years.

You did very well.

Bogut is your only Old guy.

The only thing anyone could possibly say about your Team is that defense might be iffy.

Just hire Trigger Mike Dantoni where your defensive scheme could be outscore the other Team by 1 point :noidea:

What happens if someone miss their pick? We just skip them and go about our business.

@handicappers is 30 minutes from missing his pick

I got Kerr to scheme the offense and Ron Adams is my defensive coordinator.

I would agree my team's defense isn't a strength, but I have 1 Elite defender in Bogut, Barnes is a plus defender and Griffin and Bledsoe are average defenders. Booker isn't quite there yet, but Burks provides another alternative down the stretch.

I absolutely love your team.

Booker was a great pick for the future.

Yes, I've decided to bow out. I mentioned it in the thread on Friday. I enjoyed doing this but I have to bow out. Sorry for doing this.

Splitter is also 31... in 3 he will be 34... to have old centers will hurt... But not much since his team is not focused on centers... and defense ages better than offense...
