If he did sign with Seattle, the flyers never even had a chance to sign him. Couldn’t negotiate until 7/28.

Unless they wanted to trade assets for his rights. But even that would be a problem because they still would have exposed him to Seattle with Provorov, Sanheim, and Ellis taking the protection slots.

So if the tweets are to be believed, and mocks had good insight SEA likely looking at:

Oleksiak, Larsson, Dunn, Soucy, and Bean was an almost unanimous decision from CAR in mocks. Running out of space fast for a Flyers d-man. Giordano was a common one from the Flames also.

Twarysnki is a really weird selection. A guy that might develop into a decent 4th liner? Not wanting to take on salary makes sense and was a potential outcome, but Twarynski is out of left field.
