I'll be interested to see what Suter gets. He'd be a great fit, but I think he'd be a great fit for almost everyone. I bet he still gets a pretty nice salary, just a lower term than he had with Minnesota. I see him getting something like 2-3 years, 5M. That might be too rich for the Flyers.

I see the Flyers looking more in the bargain bin. Maybe not the ideal 2RD, but a guy that's a 4-5 dman. Was listening to Myrtetus/Meltzer's podcast and they talked about Sanheim being able to play the right side if necessary. So I look at a guy like Oleksiak as being a potentially good fit. Savard, Larsson would be more ideal. But the latter sounds likely to stay in Edmonton and i bet Savard gets a big pay day. Ceci could be a fit, but his advanced metrics are pretty scary. Alec Martinez could be an option, but he may break the bank too.
Isn't 3 years 5 million what Ghost is making? :D

Oh ya, but even if Ghost and JvR or Jake are moved, they're still not flush with cap space. If that happens and they don't take anyone back, they have about 11M in space. Spending 5 of it on Suter leaves 6M to fill any gaps up front that you have plus a backup goalie. And I'm guessing to move both Ghost and JvR or Jake, they're going to have to take some salary back either through retention or taking a player back. Maybe there's a move where that player coming back fills one of the holes, but there's some gymnastics required to be sure!

My sources are telling me that the Kraken will be taking JvR.

The more I think about it and read about the players available, the more likely I think this is.

Seattle's picks due at 10am EST. I wonder if we'll get any leaks before the formal announcements tonight.

Seravalli reporting SEA is closing in on contracts with Larsson and Oleksiak.

Assholes!

But that does probably increase the likelihood of a JvR/Jake selection.

Btw, who is going to replace JvRs production? We free up cap, but also lose good production.

We have 7 million to fill that offensive production and get a player with an all around game.

Not to mention in his last 30 games (which is more than half the season) he had 4 goal 7 assists. I think we can get someone like TK to have 11 more points in half a season.

Certainly a legit question. Guys that consistently score 20-25 goals per season don't grow on trees.

My hope is that a full season of Allison and a rejuvenated Lindblom will replace some of those goals, if JvR is the one that's taken. Barring more contracts out, I think his 7M goes towards a backup goalie and another d-man so replacing his offense will have to come from players already here.

Kraken add Larsson no deal with Jaden Schwartz or Hamilton

Larsson a RHD. Did we not want him as we are in need of someone who plays D and is righty?
