Im only worried if it makes sense for us dont really care about the Kraken or Blues
Takes more than just what we like to get something done. If it doesn't make sense for them, no deal.

I didn't really think the Avs would leave Landeskog unprotected, even unsigned. I could see him ending up in Seattle. They have the week to convince him with no other teams talking to him and he's a slam dunk if you're Seattle.
Pretty crazy unless Joe's already asked them to pass on him. Hard to believe they would leave him unprotected, would be a huge step back in my opinion. However if he's asking for more than McKinnon or Rantenaan then yea he's high.

So on NHL network, they say Landeskog is exposed because essentially all UFA are eligible. Avs would still be stupid not to resign him though. Also are teams allowed to talk to those players exposed but not choosen?

Definitely like the Ellis move hate losing the young guys but this had to be done to stabilize the D. In reality it could have cost a lot more so props to Chuck.

I don't know if Tarasenko is that much better than Jake but the change in chemistry may be worth it. He's also a cup winner. I'm good either way.

Ghost is such a wildcard if sheltered I think he can still be effective. JVR is similar as we saw when he's hot he's still pretty good. In reality if the D improves everyone will look better especially Hart.

The way I understand what I've read, any UFAs/RFAs that were left unprotected can negotiate with Seattle now through Wednesday. Seattle can sign any of them, but only 1 per team, and that signing counts as their selection from that team.

So, Seattle can negotiate with Saad and Landeskog if they want to. But if they sign Landeskog, he's their selection from the Avs and they cannot sign (or select) Saad prior to the expansion draft. If Saad makes it all the way to free agency opening for everyone (7/28), Seattle could sign him then.

And I think I read a tweet that only like 3 UFA players were protected. But if anyone was going to, I would've thought Landeskog would. But, for all we know Landeskog and the Avs have already agreed to a contract and they were just waiting to announce it so they could save a protection slot for someone else. All the media stuff could just be smoke.

They take JvR from the Flyers over other potential top 6 wingers like Zucker, Bailey, Eberle, Dadanov, Palat, Killorn, Drouin, Domi, and Neiderietter.

Justification makes sense on a couple, like Gourde from TB instead of Palat and Killorn because they need C's.

Ellis, good surprising move. Didn't see that coming at all. Checks all the boxes.
Exposing JvR over NAK does not surprise me either.
What will come...very interesting rumors flying around. I have to think at least some of them are just that, rumors.

Considering the Ellis trade came from nowhere, this is going to be a bumpy ride.

I just read it on my Twitter. It is a rumor, but it may be indeed in the works.

Bill gave it some credence today too.

3) I have heard the same rumors that others have about the upshot of a Voracek departure ultimately being Vladimir Tarasenko ending up as a Flyer, one way (a post-Expansion Draft trade) or another (a three-team trade at the Expansion Draft on Wednesday). I've also heard that it's far from a lock to happen.

On Crossing Broad, Anthony San Filippo reported that he heard of a potential deal in which Seattle takes Tarasenko from St. Louis, selects a player other than Voracek from Philadelphia (ASF has heard that it'd be Hägg taken. I still think the Kraken would set their sights a little higher on the depth chart and then flip Tarasenko to the Flyers for Voracek and asset(s).

I definitely get the idea of swapping Tarasenko and Voracek. Voracek is a style we have a lot of (pass-first), Tarasenko we dont (shoot-first). If the spare parts are really parts like Hagg and 3rd round picks, I'm certainly on board.

Just seems like a weird path for Seattle to take just so they can get Hagg and a 3rd, in addition to Voracek. They could take Voracek straight up from the Flyers, probably even get a sweetener to do it. Why pick Tarasenko to end up there? Only way that makes sense to me is if Seattle wanted Ghost or JvR, in addition to Voracek.

And unless they can go out and sign someone like Saad, or I guess get Tarasenko back, I think they will regret moving JvR AND Voracek. One I'm on board with. Both makes me hesitate.

I know Tarasenko may have a recent history of health issues. However, it is a risk I would be willing to gamble. If, he is healthy, he's the sniper we have been wanting and missing on this team for some time now. And he is a shot first and nit a pass first like so many guys we already have. Free up cash and get us another RHD once we free up some cap.

Too much chatter about no heart left. We don’t need any more heartless players. I am agin’ it (that means “against” for all you non southerners.)
