Just a tad better than Mr. Drew Lock vs the Saints last week... I'm surprised no one has brought up his performance this week... 21 for 49 comp/att; 227 yards passing, 0 TD and 1 INT... 42.8% completion %...

I didnt care how tonights game ended. Seahawks control their own path and thats how it should be. Go out and win and ignore the noise of the other teams. DO YOUR PART and you dont have to worry about ANYONE else. Who cares if it makes your path easier allowing you to lose a game or 2, thats a losers mentality. If you are cheering for teams to lose when you are in first place then you dont believe in yourself.

For those that missed it Tyrice Knight won Rookie of the week. So happy to see him getting the playing time he needed.

Could shanahan lose his job? Seems crazy considering three of the last 4 years they were in the nfccg, but it does feel like the team has quit. They have lost their edge.

yeah, that's awesome... remarkable turnaround with defense ever since he and E. Jones were inserted into the lineup... Jones has gotten most of the recognition but Knight has been balling out as well...

He could lose his job if they lose out. Of course Siriani somehow kept his job after the QB and WR called their own plays, locker room in turmoil and a disastrous 2nd half of the season with an embarrassing first round loss. Maybe Shanny keeps his job.

this is the smartest move they could have did. Geno will play better if they use this more. He will ALWAYS want to go to DK first. His Eyes going over to DK will trap the Defense in those 4x1 sets and leaves someone WIDE open on the other side. Now to be fair they haven't JUST started doing this, They have been doing it since week one but they would bring the RB back to block because of HOW BAD the oline was. The big difference is the personal they are using in this set up has changed. Geno will still go to DK but at least he knows he doesnt have to force it there like he had been doing. Matter of fact in week one Geno threw a INT going to DK in this set-up.

this was a 4x1 but they brought Walker back in to block because Denver showed blitz but backed out of it. This wasnt zone but still its a lineup they have used before.

i doubt it happens, it would be a surprise firing.
but, if they dont turn it around next year and purdy continues to look like garbage and people start thinking about all the draft picks they traded for a bust QB, his seat will get hot.

You never know I guess, I know a small segment of 49er fans are campaigning for firing him, but then ever fan base have their dumb asses. There would be a bidding war to hire him if 49ers fire him. I don't expect it to happen. However the 49ers need to rebuild and it's going to take time, so maybe Shanahan would want to move on to a fresh start. I'm for having Shanahan moving on because I miss the years the 49ers really really suck.

They have been hit hard by the injury bug. Yes every team has Injuries and like everyone im sick of hearing it but the people they lost make a big difference in who they are.

I remember when we lost what was it 5? 6? WR in one season. We had baggers playing WR for us. Now the 49ers have not been hit THAT hard or even close when talking about a single position but they have a lot of probowl players missing time. What it shows is they have a shortage of talent after their frontline players but lots of teams are like that. Not every club can have 5 CB or 4 safeties or 5 DE that all play well.

I wanted to post this for those that might have missed it. It's a good read and shows why the Hawks were and in many was still are very predictable when it comes to the run among other things. The 80% in shot gun was crazy! Anyway i was meaning to link it Yesterday after I read it but got busy. Lets hope Grubb and Mike do grow together, I hated how much we were passing the ball but Huard kind of brought that up in a quote. Talking about how in College you just kind of go for it and attack.

And that is why we need the draft still... because if Knight starts for another 3 years, it's a CHEAP solution to that position. Same with Murphy who has definitely filled a role, he got the most pressures of his career last week and the run D looked noticeably better when he returned. I saw a YouTube vid where some Hawks fan was posing the question on whether we should trade for a star pass rusher, and my answer is NO. Go find one in the draft (or TRY to). If you get someone good, you get them cheap for 4-5 years.

Not to mention, Mike never needed a star pass rusher in Baltimore. Seattle really didn't have one either during their SBOWL years. They just had a group of collective guys that could all make some plays.

Next year not only the coach but FO would have to go. They'll move Lynch higher up the FO cause they like him.

I don't think he gets fired due to massive amount of injuries but if he's fired than I'm fine with that.
