And if Seattle loses to the Bears on Thursday we want all the 8 loss teams to win.
Not feeling confident short week on the road. And if Seattle loses to the Bears on Thursday we want all the 8 loss teams to win.
We've played our best football on the road. It's totally on brand for this team and season that we bounce back and get a win here when realistic hope of winning the division is gone. Not feeling confident short week on the road.
Im for trading metcalf if it means we use the resources on OL
I dont trust schneider to do that though, he will use our first or second to draft another WR
I agree with their reasoning... I've been feeling good about trading him since week 4 of this season... Like he said in the video, (Paraphrasing) " I think DK has had as many frustrating moments as he has good moments..." Pretty much the way I've seen it as well...

Normal week I completely agree but short week road teams generally don't fair well. Maybe this week will be different with playoff lives on the line. We've played our best football on the road. Well you'd trade DK because he's going to cost a ton of money in cap and he still makes boneheaded decisions, although I do think the offense is different with him on the field.
That said, this class is DECENT at wide receiver and fairly shit at everything else (spare RB, MAYBE interior OL but it's converting OTs to guard which can be meh)... so I wouldn't mind another 2nd rounder on a WR. What needs to change with regards to the offense and I've been screaming it all year is Grubb's stupid ass system that is NOT working in the NFL. Seattle was running the ball just fine against Minny... 1st and 5 after we get a successful punt fake and Minny has 12 on the field... and what does Grubb do? Try to pass deep (down only 3, in Minny territory or close to) and takes a sack... ................ I think that was AFTER a false start while trying to do another pass.
Guy is batshit. Mac has been saying OVER and OVER "We need to run the ball" and Grubb just refuses to. I think Grubb already knows he's gonna get canned and is just showing off for when he takes the Alabama job, which is basically inevitable at this point.
Dude... And we don't need to draft QB's high either because Brock Purdy was Mr Irrelevant, right? And Tom Brady was a 6th rounder? How often has a 5th worked out like it's worked out for Nacua and the Rams? You can't just keep using small sample sizes...You dont need to draft WRs high, nacua was a 5th round pick.
We just have a shit front office that does the worst possible things in the draft unless its an absolute no brainer

you cant build a team around a WR.Dude... And we don't need to draft QB's high either because Brock Purdy was Mr Irrelevant, right? And Tom Brady was a 6th rounder? How often has a 5th worked out like it's worked out for Nacua and the Rams? You can't just keep using small sample sizes...
WR is one of the few positions that schneider has actually been good at picking, and he has done it mostly after round 1. when you have one of the worst OLs and no future at QB, picking WRs is straight up retarded. This is an attitude that I can't get behind. Just because someone found a diamond in the rough doesn't mean you build your team around finding the next one.
Best WR from each draft before Nacua rounds 5+ (total WRs taken)
2022 - Khalil Shakir (8)
2021- Ben Skowronek (15)
2020 - Darnell Mooney (17)
2019 - Hunter Renfrow (12)
2018 - Russell Gage (19)
2017 - Isaiah McKenzie (11)
2016 - Tyreek Hill (17)
It was 7 seasons previous before you find another #1 WR drafted in the 5th or later. 1 out of 99. It's not that it can't happen, but to say it happened once so that's now the way to do it would end up with a receiving room that would look like this:
David Moore
Dareke Young
Bo Melton
John Ursua
Freddie Swain
why?If we move on from Lockett AND DK then we will need to draft a WR in the first 3 rounds. Thing is we will need to draft more than just one also.
we SHOULD focus on running the ball and stopping the run, the two things this team has utterly failed at for way too many seasons and going 3-6 at homes is the fruits of that failure.
Why? Because are you going into the season with Just JSN and Bobo? i dont think so. You might grab a FA WR but you will still need more. You just lost basically your #1 and #3 you need to replace them. Replacing 2 WR's of that quality isnt easy to do not spending quality picks on them.
19 total games in college as a CB.
Im not willing to give up on Woolen. His play has been uneven but you still see the flashes of his very good ability. Woolen was a VERY RAW CB coming out of college and it's the reason he wasnt picked higher. He will figure it out i have no doubts and lots of top flight "cover" corners are not very good tacklers. Sanders was one of the best but he wouldn't tackle no one lol. I think Woolen just hasn't adjusted well to this NFL style of play where you do a lot of high low or trail coverage with a safety over the top. He just needs more time figuring it out because he didnt have a ton of it in college. He was a WR and i think you all seemed to have forgotten that. He played a total of 19 games as a CB in college and 22 as a WR.
