It's difficult for the Pacers to get stars in Indy if it isn't by trade or the draft. They had to sign him, not a bad deal too.

Monty is a 2 time Coach of the Year, so I can see why they assumed the best. This is a win for Williams, gets 65 million for looking pretty now.
Especially when our longest tenured coach except Chuck Daly was here for 5 years (and that was Casey, the previous coach).
And it is enough that he won't have to work again, because who would hire him after the stench he left in Detroit.
How quickly he was fired after those awards should have been a red flag.

Yep he is living the good life. Assuming a good coach will turn around or make strides with a bad team then letting him go after one year is definitely not good. Revolving door but maybe Langdon finally gets this franchise back in a good spot. Gotta make better moves though
