Again, to move contracts, ya have to have a buyer or being willing to pay somebody to dump them. The Lakers have neither scenario going on. So your number 3 a few posts back is absolutely correct, DJ.

Rob will get a team to take a few of those contracts for a few 2nd rounders. 2nd rounders are going to be even more valuable with the new CBA, Cheap players and if you have a good developmental coach.....

Yep, that too and the Lakers don't have that either or are not willing to do that. Instead they are keeping those players to see how things work out with Redick and his "new" scheme.

Yeah, it's an interesting situation for them with a new coach. The new coach needs to have input on the roster because he's obviously going to want to keep guys that fit what he wants to run.

Because of that, it can be tough to decide who to trade.

For example, Vando's name came up a bit as someone to be traded, but I read that Redick likes him and wants him on the roster...so now he's unlikely to be moved. It would also be interesting to see what, if anything, he can do to get more consistency out of D-Lo.

Unless something obvious comes up...they may be best served by running it back and making changes closer to the deadline after they see how things look.

Sure, trades.

I still want Rob to trade a few of those smaller contracts along with a 2nd or even a few to clear some cap space to bring Trent Jr.....he would be nice to have on the bench and in a smaller lineup for stretches.....until Russ gets dealt at the deadline.
