One of the things I like the most that Presti has done is with guys like Dort, Joe and Wiggins. Joe and Wiggins were under contract cheap this year. Presti tore up the contracts and gave them both multi year deals. Same thing with Dort. A lot of trust building has taken place.

He's also getting them locked up longer ahead of FA competition and establishing solid trade chips if needed.

They are the same as the Cavs. They will only go as far as their young players take them. We know both have stars but those #2 and #3 guys will define their fate

They are the same as the Cavs if you squint and blur your vision maybe. Thunder have far more upside and added two much needed pieces this offseason to a team that had already surpassed the Cavs.

We've already seen that the Cavs roster hasn't been ideal with Garland and Mitchell in the backcourt and Mobley/Allen down low. They had the opportunity to diversify this summer and declined. I think they've plateaued as currently constructed.

I think it’s going to take more than that.

Yeah, 3 or more is the more accurate statement. Depends on the quality of the picks. Those heavily protected picks the Knicks own for example are basically 2nds. With Mark's affordable contract, the focus will be more on quality of the picks and prospects over simple salary matching.

Am I delusional? How are you getting draft assets from finding a taker for Wiggins? That’s a negative asset.

Wiggins isnt a negative asset. Not a huge positive but certainly not a negative. A wing that will play decent D and score in the 12-15 range.

And his contract now is only 3 years and $75M and it expires when he is 31 so it is not like his skills will decline much during those 3 years. That is appropriate for a decent wing.

A good example of how a near max contract signed today will start to look like a more reasonable deal a couple years from now.

Walker Kessler for a 1st and a 2nd maybe....but no way he is worth 2 1st rounders.

Trader Danny at it again.....LOL.

One unprotected first likely gets it done.

Mentally, he hasn't been locked in is the main problem.

If he's past his personal issues and can be relied upon, perhaps.

The summer isn’t over yet though. They needed to hire a coach and lock up Donovan Mitchell as their first priorities.

Sure, but it seems they are standing pat with their top 4. A little work around the margins isn't going to make drastic improvement IMO (not at a Thunder level).
