No thanks.

Wiggins had 1 fire year in a otherwise disappointing career.

I’m depressed enough without having to watch him disappear for 82 games.

At least DJJ gives effort.

Oh yeah I wasn’t pro Wiggins

It was the all expiring package

Most 2nd rounders are getting these deals.

it makes it easier to retain them if you hit on a good one.

That Arenas rule can really hamstring a team.
That's probably true...is not to say we hit on Emoni Bates but because he was not on one of these deals I'm pretty sure he's now a RFA.

Did you read it?

Jalen Pickett signed a 4 year contract worth 8.2 mill with the Nuggets. 5.8 mill guaranteed so not a lot. He was also a 2nd round pick in the 2023 draft.

Undrafted players also get them as well.

Pickett was like the 32n pick, not 55

The line for ant is how many signed a 3rd contract with a small market
3rd. How about 2nd or 4th or 5th lol.

I believe the overall point states. If a small market team is not competing the player will want out. I think even on a large market team the same.

Paul George knew he wouldn't compete in Indiana especially with Lebron in the east.
Lillard, well 10+ years and rebuild forming. Anyone would

No

It’s 3rd

Him still being in minny when the assets convey to the spurs requires a 3rd contract

Utah could go huge with Ingram mark and bridges if they really wanted to.

They have the capability to make those moves

What is that?

Idk

Undrafted players also get them as well.

Only 5.8 mill was guaranteed so 1.45 mill a year is not a lot. If he develops into a rotation player within a few years that is a bargain. The max is 8.2 mill, so 2 mill per.

Cheap and that's important with the new CBA.

If he doesn't pan out? It's not a huge loss since we are not talking about a lot of money.

I think they are saying that guys loyalty could evaporate when the team that drafted them doesn’t have the advantage of offering the super max.

If all things are equal money wise, would a player still stay in a small market if a big city team came knocking?

I think they would as long as they are winning.

But there have been exceptions.

Utah got left at the alter twice.

First, Deron Williams declined to stay and got traded to his team of choice, the dogshit Nets.

Then a Healthy Hayward left for Beantown.

And Bronny is likely getting less than that since he was the 55th pick.
