W's weren't offering Kuminga. So like I said before, I didn't think they would offer him. This makes more sense and why the Clips rejected. Only one pick LOL

The Clips take the deal 100% if they get Kuminga

I don’t see how they do it without Wiggins.

Which was likely the deal breaker

That being said….get something for him

Is it really worth getting no picks to let him stroll to the East vs be a 4/5 seed in golden state?

and now we wait and see what happens with Okoro (along with, I think, a Mobley extension). Not as pressing but could also be an Allen extension offered.

do hope we do something to add/improve and think we will. Wonder what the market is like for Myles Bridges....would love a deal for Hunter, as well.
I think Hunter can be had because of his injury history.

Bridges has other admirers.

But I’d like both for the Cavs, DFS too.

Warriors: We will send you 30M expiring contract you can use to trade later, 1st rd unprotected pick in 2027, Young Players (Moody/Pods/TJD) for PG.
Clips: We want KUMINGA!
Warriors: Umm, no we'll keep him. But we're giving you assets to trade, considering PG is going wal...
Clips: WE WILL LET HIM WALK FOR NOTHING AND LIKE IT.

Hunter can be had probably for basically saving money to duck the tax and a 2

That’s basically it

And why I hate it

This was such an easy call. Especially if you got trayce or pod

I still think Wiggins was the sticking point though

I don't know. Do you really want CP3 at $30M when you can add players in FA like they have been doing? I am guessing CP3 was one of the players. They said young players and expiring. Maybe Wiggins was included in one of the deals but I have a feeling they were lowballing them.

CP3, young players, filler, '27 pick uggh

Dude you are insane.

If they weren’t willing to be in the 2nd apron for George, WTF would they do do for trash ass Wiggins and broken mitten?

You want them to eat long term deals that puts them right back in the same situation they we’re trying to avoid with Paul for a late first round draft pick?

How in GAWDS name is that smart business?

You have to keep CP3 for what? at least so many months and you have to give picks away to trade him most likely. That's trash. I doubt they were including Pods.
Also, maybe at that time they still thought they could convince PG to come back. It sounds like they had a long conversation before finally deciding to part ways.

The W's played hardball and lost but the Clips lost too LOL

I said I expect Wiggins was the deal breaker

If it was Paul, you stay over one year you would’ve stayed over with pg anyway

Then you’re back down with assets to spare

And I believe their pick doesn’t get frozen

That’s why I think it was Wiggins and not Paul in the deal

Your argument is basically Derrick Jones jr and batum over Paul and a first round pick

I reject your argument lol

Clippers wanted Kuminga and Moody.

Y’all offered Wiggins and Payton.

Get all the way the fuck OUTTA HERE….lol

The trash for treasure days are over.

You would have George right now had his salary fit with CP3.

I much prefer having dollar tree Wiggins, DJJ at 10 m and no late round pick than eating that poo poo platter.

Didn't they release Paul right after the Clippers declined their trade? Kinda sketchy

Well at worst the Clips could have just decided to cut bait on his salary and waive him with no penalty. They would have gotten a 1st and a few young players back, and shed 30M in cap space.

Nah. They changed that rule last cba

Only guaranteed money counts in outbound trades

So his deal would’ve needed to be guaranteed

Paul is 40 years old and that is a late to mid 1st at best. Adding PG gives them another 3 years of competing.

That is a shit offer and I get what you are saying...rather have something than nothing but you have to include picks with CP3 to trade him

The team was right

Of course.

But you have to understand where Klay is coming from.

He gave a lot to the Warriors.

Draymond Green getting extended after all his drama AND getting more money than Klay was being offered would be hard for anyone to take.

If the Warriors are trying to win?

You let Klay walk.

If you are trying to do right by the man who helped bring you 4 titles and had his prime cut short by 2 catastrophic injuries?

You pay him and let him finish his career as a Warrior.

And I doubt a single Warrior fan would take issue with that.
