That looked like a tweet aimed to get the fans off Rob’s back.

Look…look….

He’s talking to all these teams about all these players. He’s trying!!!!

This is a results driven business.

If the Lakers want to swing for the fence they should go for Simmons

For some I think they want to find a way to throw some shade on the Cavs instead of simply doing what you did and give them credit for keeping their guy, even though many have thought for years they couldn't.

By this "logic" no team should be happy about a FA signing, trade, etc.
Yeah, it’s the off-season.

So conjecture is always ripe.

But you kept your guy.

All the rest of that shit is future Cavs fans problems.

Congrats.

The notion that players are not so much interested in going to play with the Lakers anymore has been boosted by the recent events with Klay Thompson avoiding a better contract from the Lakers and taking a lesser contract to go play in Dallas. No matter the cause, more and more, FAs are either staying with their present employer or are going elsewhere to continue their careers and given the opportunity, they are just not demonstrating any desire to play for the LA Lakers.

Sure.

More likely for some than others.

More likely for Mitchell because it was widely reported he had eyes for NY.

Very high chance those reports were wrong. Especially now.

But with the Lillard precedent being set, it does open other avenues for players to try to manipulate their contract situation.
more likely for Mitchell because he had eyes for NY but at no time seemed upset he didn't go to NY? In fact, right when the deal was made to come here he ran around a golf course screaming because he was thrilled about the move....which you seem to know were wrong? Not exactly sure how that makes any sense.

and, sure, if the Cavs decide to move from trying to contend to rebuild he might ask to be moved. Like any star might do.

Because, Rob talking to the Nets, Blazers, and the Jazz is the same as Rob calling Presti?

Holy shit, that's one of the more stupid posts I have read in a while....congrats?

LOL.
Ewwww.

Why so aggressive?

It’s just a joke.

Lakers fans have done this dance with Rob before.

They were killing his ass for not doing SOMETHING and he stayed the course until he got the right deal.

That deal got you a deep playoff run that nobody saw coming.

Chill, Fam.

It’s the same article, from the same person.

The clue is in the way the verbiage is damn near identical.

It’s from a article on the athletic.

I posted the paragraph because not everyone here pays for access.

I think Rob is working all angles honestly.

The deal that most likely happens is some contracts and maybe some kind of draft capital to the Bulls for DeRozan in a sign and trade.

Probably not ideal but unlike RW DD made 33% last season and 35% 2 years ago. He isn't the ball dominant guard RW Is and DD could play SF.

Congrats.
and now we wait and see what happens with Okoro (along with, I think, a Mobley extension). Not as pressing but could also be an Allen extension offered.

do hope we do something to add/improve and think we will. Wonder what the market is like for Myles Bridges....would love a deal for Hunter, as well.

The only trade the Lakers should now be pursuing is moving DRuss to the Nets. Two teams or three, it doesn't matter. Trading for DeRozan is useless. Possibilities for Markkanen, Grant and maybe Sexton to the Lakers are also fading fast.

This is a pointless trade. Why is there such an angst by the Lakers to make this trade? The guy is on the downside of his career. Is he going to make the Lakers better than say keeping DRuss or some other contracts and what is the cost the Lakers are going to have to give-up to bring him to LA?

He didn’t have the option to sign in NY after the Bridges trade.

A year from now if neither team progresses?

Look out.

That is all I am saying.

Cleveland has done fine so far. Their task is not finished.
