Not really.

Maxx would’ve cost other players and multiple first and second day picks.

The Steelers got a depth DE for a 7th. We got a guy who should lead the team in sacks for a 6th and 7th.

Was kinda hoping we’d swing a deal for Crosby though. Figured Hooker for Minshew could’ve been involved. Which would’ve been good for this year.

I was hoping Hendrickson, but the Bengals had to win and fuck it up

can,t always get what you want-rolling stones.

Right. This was a good and necessary move to shore up their only real hole... and before our experts jump on me, I realize there can be improvements made in other areas. But the Lions are clearly the best team in the NFC for the first time ever, so I'm just going to try to relax and enjoy it.

He seems genuinely pleased to be in Detroit.

Its about time you showed up here jerkweed.

Cant wait to see this guy Sunday night. Finally get back to pressuring the QB. Also need to contain running QBs . Hopefully this will do it.

That was an ugly win. Luckily, they get to go with the scoreboard and not style points. Defense really stepped up, keeping the Lions in it.

Hopefully Goff gets his MVP form back. It’s not like he wilted, he just didn’t look in command. Credit the Houston D with a superb performance. It didn’t look like they were taking advantage of Decker being out; Skipper held his own.

Special Teams came through. It looks like Detroit has found their kicker, and a good long snapper. It’s not often that the Offense is the weakest contributor to a victory for the Lions. Great to see the improvement in the overall team.

What a win. These are the type of games we've seen the Lions on the opposite side of our whole lives. Including last year's nfc championship game. Only truly good teams find a way to win games like this. Great job by the defense.

However, I was a bit dismayed (again) with Campbell's decision-making. This time on that final drive. There is no reason to voluntarily settle for a 52 yard field goal with :37 still on the clock and two timeouts in your pocket. Sure, Bates made it (barely) and bailed out the coach. But you should really try to get more yards there. I like Campbell overall. He's done a tremendous job with this team. But I fear that he's going to lose us a playoff game.

With the way our offense was all game i am ok with trusting the kicker. It's nice to have a kicker that he does trust like that.

Yeah, if you try and gain more yards you have to do one of two things. 1. Trust Goff last night. Or 2. Show Goff you don't trust him.

I didn't want Goff throwing any more last night. But I definitely don't want to mess with his confidence going forward. So I was ok with that decision making. With Bates it's not like there's much a difference between 52 and 42

I thought it was the most impressive win of the season. No quit, just grit.

And it appeared that Za'Darius Smith was the most excited player on the field postgame. It sounded like Lions fans were well represented. Wait till he gets a load of Ford Field.

It was hard fought. They did show their grit. For me, the most impressive win was going to Dallas and giving Jerry his birthday spanking. It was an announcement from the Lions that “we’re done being the lovable losers - it’s your turn.”

Martha has put together quite the organization.

Others have said it, the offense was not firing on all cylinders. Maybe this was Campbell putting it on Bates' shoulders and seeing how he handles it. I gotta think he has a lot more confidence this season in his kicking game than last.

O-line was not good and it was not Skipper that was the problem. Something looked wrong with Goffs throwing hand too. He was throwing ducks and his long passes were way too short.

Defense had a rough start but completely turned it around in the second half.

Gritty comeback but it needs to be way better than that. Ben Johnson better get his green notebook out and start drawing up some new looks. Seemed like the Texans defense knew what the plays were going be.

This Sunday should be a game where the Lions get right from the beginning of the game as they head into the second half of the season. We’ll find out quickly if the team has their focus on the present. I’m glad they are getting back to the friendly confines of Ford Field and it’s unlikely the Jags fans are traveling en masse. It will be good for the stadium to be quiet on Offense and LOUD on Defense. I wonder if there‘s an opportunity for selling hearing protection?

It'll be loud, sure. But I don't think it'll be THAT loud. The Jags are a non-rival crap team with a backup qb. They don't inspire fervor.

I hope we get a big early lead and rest everyone in the second half. Having a pseudo bye week would do wonders at this stage.
