LaPorta is already listed as out for this game, along with Martin, Melifonwu and Mosley. That said, Smith makes his first appearance. The Jags may only be playing for personal pride and next year’s employment, both of which can be strong motivators to create an upset.

The focus needs to be on winning this game this week. I’m pretty confident the coaches have been preaching one game at a time. It would be good to see the Lions play like the top of the NFC again, setting the tone and handling their business. Last week was overcoming mistakes; this week, can we see mistake free play, please?

Very dominant win yesterday. Glad to see bench players getting time in cleanup duty. The only squad that didn’t shine was the punt team - no opportunities!

They should have played more is my only complaint. No reason to trot our starters out after going up 4 scores in the 3rd quarter. Luckily noone got hurt that I know of.

As long as he is back for the playoffs its OK. It will hurt against the better teams.

I do, when he first got here he missed so many tackles he was a liability. Anzalone of today is an awesome player. On top of losing a key player on defense, it also shifts calling the D on the field to Campbell. We have noway to know if he is anywhere close to ready.

Its a ‘next man up’ environment, some games it will matter more than others. I suspect his absence will improve the run game results for other teams.

Not bad. Offense sputtered a little but did enough. Offense on a bad day is still better than most other teams.

Defense is getting thin. We need Mosely to get back playing. Our CBs are really beat up. It looked better than it was because the Colts had some big miscues. Vildor looked really bad. Dont want to see him out there any more.

This game showed me as high as I am on Alim, I was still too low. Colts thought all game they could put Quinton Nelson on him one on one, and Nelson got dominated.

So many penalties as he tried to prevent getting pushed around like I don't think he has ever been. McNeill is amazing.

Didn’t see the game yet (not available in my area). Is the Defense playing that good to extend the no TD allowed, or was Indy playing poorly? I know the AFC South has been pretty much a mess.

It followed a similar theme, Colts at first marched right down the field, but could not punch it in. Second half they could not really move the ball. The way Vildor was picked on by a subpar QB, we better hope we get some CBs back before too long. He was clearly the weak spot.

Looks like Houston has been waived, and based on comments he won't be on the practice squad either.
