Vando excels at all the things nobody wants to do, and everywhere he goes it is appreciated.....but not enough to keep or play him. He is one of the best contracts in basketball.

I would start him over Rui easy. He will play gar superior defense and not need any shots which is important with the Lakers team. Let Rui captain the 2nd team.

Definitely. He's actually my favorite of the deadline guys. Reminds me of AC Green and Rambis from the Showtime Lakers.

Rui's defense was solid enough in the playoffs that, combined with what he did on offense, he earned going into the season as the #1 PF. I could see Rui starting most of the games, but Vando starting against certain teams.

Only shot Vando should work on this summer is that corner 3. Be the Lakers version of PJ Tucker

Yep, he actually hit some when the Lakers first got him...but fell off as the season went on. The Nuggets were all but ignoring him offensively in that series. Part of why his minutes fell off.

Yeah I like that idea. Rui showed in this current stint post trade with the Lakers that he can give them some offensive punch off the bench. It seems like he is best suited to that bench role to give them scoring when AD LeBron and DLo rest.

Even more than Wood I can’t believe PJ Washington didn’t get a deal yet.

RFA

And no one has cap space left

So he needs to do a sign and trade or he has no leverage with char

Might have to just take the QO

I’m not a huge fan

His best work is at small ball 5, he’s like Thad who the raptors just cut

Maybe these guys are just demanding too much at this point. Nobody wants to overpay a stretch 4 (Wood more of a complete player). They will get deals but likely just holding out hope some team pays them

And?

How does calling someone an uneducated dolt mean that he doesn't want to hear someone's opinion because it's different? Perhaps he doesn't feel the person speaking is as educated as they should be on the subject they're speaking about?

Heck, we see that in here every playoffs when the casuals show up.

Because he thinks anybody with a differing opinion is uneducated.

Wood can fill in during the reg season for 20-25 games if AD is hurt but yeah AD has to be ready for the postseason.

Wood would be foolish to sign with the Lakers.

If there isn’t a market for him, he needs to go somewhere for 1 year where he will play a lot and hopefully work on his defense.

Being AD’s backup for 20 minutes isn’t it.

Jon Krawczynski: So if the Blazers are gonna go totally rebuild, they have to get young pieces and they have to get draft picks in Miami doesn’t have a whole lot of either of those to offer right now. And so the pursuit is on to find some other teams to jump in and allow them to do that. But I think it’s going to take some time. I don’t get the sense out here, doesn’t feel like there’s something imminent right now. This might take a little while to put together.

The Heat front office’s very resourceful, very good. They understand right now I believe that they do not have enough to just do a one-to-one Heat-Blazers trade to get Damian Lillard and entice the Blazers to part with the best player they’ve ever had. So right now, it seems like the efforts are to find a third team, find a fourth team, whatever, and construct some sort of monster sort of trade package with parts and players going all over the place to allow Damian Lillard to end up in Miami and to get the Blazers enough young players and draft assets to justify moving off of the team, you know, the franchise icon and sort of shifting into this rebuilding mode around Scoot Henderson, around Shaedon Sharp are on some of their really nice young pieces.

So the scuttlebutt out here, it seems to be when you talk to, you know, I’ve talked to a bunch of agents have talked to several executives with other teams, and it’s what everyone is talking about. And there just seems to be an overall belief that eventually at some point, Miami will find a way to get the pieces together to get Damian Lillard there.

The article I shared backs this up
I have watched basketball for the last 30 plus years.

There is absolutely nothing that I could read that would change my opinion that Pop is a top 5 NBA Coach of all time.

* I actually have him #3 *

Maybe if Jesus wrote it.

Maybe.

He would get 10 starts at PF and maybe 20-25 or so at C. Plus as a backup? 18-20mpg between PF and C....

Plenty of mpg and games to prove it.
Wood would be looking for big minutes, for a big payday next year.

I mean, Lakers would give him maximum EXPOSURE.

So, maybe.

But, I would be really surprised..

He should go to a team like the Heat.

He could play the 4.

Maybe the Suns?

I wish he wanted to play for the Clippers.
