We went into last season with a couple holes. CB was a major need. They addressed the hell out of it with a big FA signing AND our first 2 draft picks. And it was still a weakness. DE was a major need. They added Davenport and hoped for the best. It ended the year as a huge need. WR #3 was a huge need. It remained a need all year, although it was somewhat lessened by Patrick. Ended the year being a weak point for us and its a make it or break it year for Jamo, not sure we even want him back either despite his game breaking ability. DT was a need, they signed Reader, and it ended up being ok. He's gone and McNeil might take a while to come back. So this year it's moving way up the need list. OG was addressed last off-season, and it worked out mostly. But both OG spots are up for grabs again.

If we don't get a couple more scores in FA, I see some growing pains this year with 2 new coordinators and so many complete holes on the roster.
Second half of the year Arnold was awesome. He penalties almost vanished and he still was playing wr close. Unfortunately Arnold put it together around the time Davis broke his jaw. Robinson was pretty solid feeling in. Arnold year 2, Reed, Robinson, and Rakestraw as the 4th should be solid group for DE. Lions need a 3rd safety for sure.

Only real need is dline, but they need starters and depth everywhere on it.

My view on needs is:

1. Defensive Line
2. More Defensive Line
3. Oline Depth
4. X WR
5. Even more dline

Roy Lopez is a solid rotation NT. I like that signing.
