2025 Lions Offseason

Franchise tag number for safety is 18.6, contract seems reasonable based on the market. Kyle Hilton is next up, he will get more.

Looks like the Villains stayed true to their board. Not the position I had expected that they would take, but with some of the better IOL players already off the board, I can see this choice. Still plenty of OL and DL players available to beef up the trenches.

It was also good to see no movement up in the first round. I’d rather see our conference opponents short themselves picks (and their cheapest route to the future). Detroit is showing the rest of the North that they are confident that they are going to win the regular season by not trying to win the pundit’s attention in the off season.

We had the option to move back 4 spots and grab an extra pick. Definitely should have. We still would have gotten the same player. Holmes may be making good picks but his draft capital mgmt is lacking.
