I listened and it was nonsense. It wasn't a press conference, it was a Q&A, nothing really interesting. Boring questions, bland, uninteresting answers.

Only semi interesting takeaways, Bernier is still hurt with no timetable so likely getting a UFA goalie.

Fitz will not be entertaining trade calls for Bratt.

I mean worst case we take Wright and he turns into a real player or great trade chip.

Or if Wright falls to us maybe a team like say Seattle at 4 tries to trade up to get their franchise center along with Beniers. Grab an extra asset and take a defenseman at 4. Lots of options.

everything you said is correct and advantageous to us absolutely. It's a near win win for us in the grand scheme of things.

I'm just so attached to Slafs now and what he can bring to our core. The next guy up in that area would be Gauthier... i liked him too.

A team like Ottawa doing that makes more sense than a team like us with the #2 overall.... our 2OA is worth a lot more than the 7th in this draft IMHO....

I like it. Potential top pairing defenseman, Hamilton, Hughes Nemec is a solid core. He's not off the board, consensus top 5 guy, Athletic had him going number 2.

The experts have all been down on Wright the past few weeks, 2 other teams passed on him and we have 3 young centers. It's not that crazy.

I remember the goalie Vanecek but yea I couldn't tell you if its great or not. Im pretty sure he's not an undisputed starter therefore why?

Rather gone for Campbell who just had a solid playoff run for TOR.

I'm ok with stocking up on dmen, they're always a commodity.
