It's beyond retarded to think the Jazz would eat Russ contract and give them three solid players for one first rounder.

What trade proposal are you looking at?

The one that was tweeted has Westbrook going to the Knicks with the Jazz receiving Reddish, Fournier and 2 firsts.

The part of what Utah gets that I would question is Fournier because he has 3 years left and Utah may want expiring deals.

This is the Lakers/Utah direct trade; Westbrook and 1-2 firsts for 3 of the Jazz targets (Bog, Beas, Clarkson?)

In that case, I agree with @Stakesarehigh

Doesn't seem likely that Danny is giving up that much just for Westbrook and a couple of future 1sts.

Certainly not before he has exhausted all other options.

He’s probably the only one not worth a first on his own.

Lakers already have 4 potential PGs including Russ. Clarkson would be easier to move to a 3rd team (or play at the 2) IMO.

Very good may be a bit strong. Other than the Covid season, they topped out with a Camping World bowl loss in 2018. They beat one ranked team last year and only 1 top ten team since 2018. This year though....so far, pretty ugly.

No annual conference championship games, only 1 win over a ranked team in that span. Their independent status is strangely allowed and they manage some less challenging schedules as a result. Not this season thus far, which is definitely an oddity.
