They already had lonzo at the time, who is better.

But choosing not to pay lonzo and then tradinf a first for graham was horrible franchising
Forgot about Lonzo, yeah they ended up fucking it up anyway.

People (not fine folks on here) suck in general.

Why I prefer a dog most of the time.

Yeah, unfortunately my dog passed the summer prior to the pandemic. Was pretty actively looking in 2020 for a pup, but they were getting snapped up so fast and the prices rose quickly. Still looking, just not in a hurry lol.

It’s the same idea

They just had more of a smoking gun

Hence ''wink wink nod nod''. Can't have anything in writing, can't announce anything other than the deal in place.

2 problems...1 everyone has to keep their mouth shut (which the Lakers have struggled with of late) and 2, that requires an awful lot of trust on his part.

Read that and tell me what you guys are suggesting is not similar

It’s shorter, but it’s a similar concept.
It happens all the time though.

How do guys sign so quickly when FA starts at what.....Midnight?

He scored in the G-League, think scoring at the NBA level would be different.

He’s a 3 and d type in the nba imo

Similar concept, but x1000 in severity. Turns down a big contract, then agrees to sign 3 tiny single year deals to eventually get a huge contract afterwards? Monk's situation is very minor in comparison and doesn't require long term subterfuge.

This would be fucking awesome, Seattle especially.

Now the fun part...gotta realign to either 2 divisions of 8 or 4 of 4.
It's kinda how I was thinking they shoulda did it the 2k way and added 1 team per division. Problem with that of course is the drain on the talent pool...

It is essentially the same thing. No one is saying it isn't. The differences are that Minny had to try to do it for 3 years. Even then, it probably doesn't get out if Smiths agents don't start suing each other. lol

Lakers shifted around their 2-way guys several times this year and are currently settled on Matt McClung and Mason Jones, which are interesting prospects. Along with Reaves, the Stanley Johnson reclamation project and Wenyen Gabriel, they have some interesting young players for 2nd and 3rd team roles. They just need to fill in with some new role players and the odd starter or two (hopefully a bit more youthful than last year, lol).
Yeah.

James
AD
RW (if he isn't traded or whatever players he brings back in a trade)
THT
Reaves (sign him)
Gabriel
Johnson
McClung
Mason Jones

And I'd bring back Melo and Howard as vets off the bench. They can't all be kids and the last 6 I listed above are youngsters. Let Ellington, Ariza, Baze and Bradley walk.

Sign a few vets (at minimum) that can play some defense.

I've gotten to the point where I watch more YouTube than even cable or streaming most nights. The only time I see the news is on phone alerts and the occasional YouTube feed. My cocoon of sorts, lol.

The major hit for me at the start of the quarantine was not being able to go the local music stores lol. Other than that? Stay home and work from my laptop, yes please! Could still get groceries and order take out, so my life wasn't altered much.

Basically the same here. With my wifes health issues, we have pretty much become homebodies and are more likely to host friends and family at our house rather than go out. I don't like lines or crowds, so I have always done grocery shopping early in the morning anyway.

The biggest change for me was working from home, which I didnt think I would like, but turns out I actually do. Especially with gas prices where they are. lol

My wife loves working from home. She was on the fence about it.
