Hope Bridges gets all that time. 11 years and 8 months.

Still be out in 6-7 years most likely.

Just feel bad for the girl, sounds like it had been going on a long time.
Much respect to her. She could have taken the money and shut her mouth but she stood up for what is right and because of her situation didn’t just refrain from a cash grab she literally turned down money because of the deal he was going to sign.

Think pedos and woman beaters are segregated in the joint because I know he's a tall and big dude but there is always a badder dude in prison.

If he only gets half of that time (5.5 years) and he’s home in 3, his career is still likely over.
If he doesn’t have priors - and there were any kind of mitigating circumstances - I doubt he gets even a year First time offenders are left off easy Especially ones with tons of resources

If I had to put money in an outcome- as long as he has no priors- I’d say probation and therapy and maybe 90 days in jail Maybe 6 months

Sad but true

"A copy of her medical report, which described an “Adult victim of physical abuse by male partner” who had suffered “assault by strangulation; brain concussion; closed fracture of nasal bone; contusion of rib; multiple bruises; strain of neck muscle.”

Strangulation is a whole other animal than just knocking her around or hitting her though. And those pics were ghastly.

I'd love to see the mitigating circumstances that would cause him to go off.....

its just a playbook

she also hit him

he grew up in a bad environment and this is all he knows

this has never happened before- he has no priors

Its not right--- just the way it goes.

the entity saying he can get a max of 11.8 years is the actual prosecutors office- who always throws the book of charges at someone right away- most of the time stuff that they cant prove- not saying that is the case in this circumstance- but its how they operate

plus- its Los Angeles- they basically let anyone break the law there now a days. violent criminals walk free all the time. its a joke.

his defense team will have millions of dollars and the best lawyers going up a "woke" prosecutor team that is overworked and understaffed. Plus- if they put everyone away for domestic violence for 10 years the US would have to build hundreds of more prisons

No priors but he has a temper and this will be used by the prosecution I am sure.

"Bridges, who was previously fined $50,000 for striking a fan with a mouthpiece, is a restricted free agent this summer, and the Hornets have the option to match any offers from other teams."
