I liked what I saw from Jones last season as he improved a lot as he played more. We all know he is a talented player but maybe all he needed is more playing time to get it. In my Eyes he is our #2 CB right now.

I could live with penny on a 2.5m one year deal. 5m is way too much.

I will agree with this.

I Love Penny and he is a awesome running back but there is a HUGE HUGE massive "IF" in there and that if is "IF" he is healthy and he rarely is healthy. Lets not forget he was NOT healthy last year and that is why he didn't have more playing time. He has never went a full 16 games hell he has not gone a full 14 games I think. UNRELIABLE running backs are not worth the money. Let him get paid 5M a year some place else and i will wish him all the luck in the world just to stay healthy.

1 year $3.6 million. Not a bad deal for a #2 CB.

Using spotrac's market value system, I figured that Penny should make between $2.5 and $5 million (depending on how front offices take all his production being the very end of last season). Hopefully, I'm correct and he looks at a 1 year 2.5 million prove it deal, but who knows.

I would think the team would create a contract that is a prove it contract this year but that has a nice bump up in 2023 if he plays well enough to stick around. So his contract may APPEAR to be higher than it really is at least for this year.

and that's entirely possible. They like to reward their guys, and I can see them giving him a deal that goes significantly up if they keep him around.

Love the Jones signing, WAAAAY too much for Diggs. Bleh.

I value safety play very highly but are we really locking up that much money in the safety position? WTF?

Lets hope they are not dumb enough to chase after Watson who is paid almost 20 Mill MORE per season than Wilson was due. The hawks got to grab some mid tier players in FA not bottom tier FA Vets in May and June.

I'd almost say these signings are a sign they aren't going for Watson - since they will be pretty close to making it so Seattle has less cap space than Watson will command post trade.

Maybe I am just not reading the situation well and will be wildly wrong here, but I just can't see Watson's current contract playing out as written. I don't think Houston will be ok with the current '22 cap hit of $40M if they don't move him, and I also doubt a team that trades for him will want to take on as much as $35M when he has such a cloud over him and still may face suspension from the league. It seems like a restructure is inevitable if he's traded.

They could restructure, but it's not like Watson is required to take a pay cut on a contract that has 4 years remaining. Besides, there's already 2 known offers and Watson is meeting with those teams already - so not sure what Seattle is waiting for if they are making a deal.

It does seem strange. I like Dissly but he hasn't really been a major presence on the field since he came back from injury.

It'll be interesting to see how much is guaranteed and how much is back loaded.

Agreed... What's even crazier is that he's going into season 5... As they say, "Time Flies"...

Well Evan Engram just signed a 1 year 9 million dollar deal with Jacksonville. So it would appear that the market is really strong for TEs.

Watson has rejected Seattle as a possible trade candidate. Only willing to waive his clause for Carolina or New Orleans.

Thank God on the 1st part, though I'd prefer him staying in the AFC.

Thanks a lot Jaguars. That batshit insane Christian Kirk contract just made resigning DK that much more expensive.

What the hell is wrong with Jacksonville? Kirk isn't worth that kind of money.
