Yah let's go spend big money on a tight end.. and then have him block 90% of the time... should work out. Whatever.

Jesus... go target OL and DL for Fs sake.

He was likely to pricey to sign if he was a FA, but now we can scratch him off our list of desirable OT.

Phil Haynes has been tendered at an original round tender.

Haynes will make $2.5 million with Seattle, or Seattle gets a 4th round pick from whoever signs him. With 9 total games in 3 years, I think he's back in Seattle next season.

Packers cut zadarius smith, he didnt play last year due to injury but played very well the previous few years. Could be worth the risk to sign him if he comes at a decent price.

Sounds good. Kick the tires. See what's left. I just fear that even a prove it deal will come at over $10 million.

Fine with bringing Diggs and Woods back.

Those were pretty easy decisions. We'll see what the Hawks are really planning to do pretty soon.

The Diggs thing...my hunch is it's effectively a 2 year deal with that 3rd year being something that is there to make the number look bigger than it really is. Glad he's back though, pleasantly surprised. Woods is a good keep too.

Lets hope they are not dumb enough to chase after Watson who is paid almost 20 Mill MORE per season than Wilson was due. The hawks got to grab some mid tier players in FA not bottom tier FA Vets in May and June.

Wonder how this sets up the negotiations with Rashaad Penny, assuming the Hawks want to resign him... 7 million a year for a full time starter... I would be happy if we could resign Penny for no more than 4-5mil a year...

I'd almost say these signings are a sign they aren't going for Watson - since they will be pretty close to making it so Seattle has less cap space than Watson will command post trade.

Using spotrac's market value system, I figured that Penny should make between $2.5 and $5 million (depending on how front offices take all his production being the very end of last season). Hopefully, I'm correct and he looks at a 1 year 2.5 million prove it deal, but who knows.

I could live with penny on a 2.5m one year deal. 5m is way too much.
