Any rumors floating what Wags is looking for?
I'm still bummed we didn't resign R. Penny... Have a feeling he's going to go off for Philly and have a probowl season... Am I the only one who feels this way?
I’m not that surprised…. He’ll be 36.5 when the season starts… Maybe we resign him on a cheaper contract?
Tiny bit surprised by this simply because he was the only road grader we had on defense.

I guess we have to consider Penny a failed 1st round pick, but I find it tough to really fault the FO for it. As well all saw, he could definitely play at a high level, and it's not like PC/JS ignored durability red flags from his college days to make the pick anyway. Any player is an injury risk, and in the case of Penny we got bit by it. It's somewhat surprising to see him pick an east coast team (from CA, college at SDSU), particularly a place with a well-earned reputation of having a tough fanbase.
Yeah, same... .I was really excited about that draft pick because I thought he was going to be something special for us... Unfortunately, he couldn't stay healthy... Eagles could've landed a steal if he can play at least 12+ games this year...I liked Penny, he was a special RB and most likely the most explosive RB in the NFL. He seemed to get at least one explosive run or more per game when healthy. The sad truth though is his Health is almost as bad as Jamal Adams health. Well at least Penny played 50% of the games for the Hawks, wished he could have been a lot healthier for us but our luck with talented players and injuries has been something awful ever since Marshawn left.
Can't pin it on the FO for sure... Injury wise, he was like CJ Prosise but he was so much more productive than CJ was when on the field...I guess we have to consider Penny a failed 1st round pick, but I find it tough to really fault the FO for it. DamnHaven't heard anything yet.
I think you would be bewildered if he made it through 3 games...id be shocked if penny makes it though preseason without an injury and absolutely bewildered if he makes it through 17 games
The good news is no one's breaking down the door, yet. I'd prefer to get it done before draft so the FO can use that LB pick on another position in need.I don't think it's bad that he hasn't signed with us. Really no rush to do so. He could be waiting to see what else the team is going to do.
