Cut bait with adams, absolutely one of the worst trades ever
Definitely a terrible trade if we have to grade it right now. Hopefully this is the last picks for player trade we see this FO make, at least ones involving 1st rounders.Cut bait with adams, absolutely one of the worst trades ever

Yeah, of course you did.I called it terrible the day it happened.
Waiting for a 6/1 cut on Adams won't be in the way of them signing Neal. They can go over the cap this time of year, so holding Adams for a 6/1 cut won't factor in on their ability to sign Neal now.If it really comes down to it, I'd rather just cut Adams now and retain Neal... if we let Neal walk and retain Adams when we could save $9M on a 6/1 post cut.. I'll be a bit annoyed..
I F'd that one up... I was all for the Adams trade... woops...
Adams is an incredible talent, but to bust two seasons in a row for the money he's getting... bleh. If he can't start the season 100% time to move on.

Also, it's a small point, but they'll save less than $8.5 million on a post June 1. IF they cut him now, they actually lose nearly $5.5 million.
While I could see them cutting Adams post-June 1st. I could also see them keeping him for another year if only to avoid all the dead money.
Signing Love is cover since we can't rely on him to stay healthy.

I agree. Think Adams will be given one more season, then Seahawks can decide if they want to keep him or save 16.8 (post-June cut) million in cap space. Duggs also is another one-year keeper then cut to save 11 million in 2024 most likely. Some significant cap saving cuts potentially in 2024.While I could see them cutting Adams post-June 1st. Think they are done with the FA market most likely. OTC has them with 17.4 in cap space and 7.7 in effective cap space and still has to account for Love, Reed, Bush, and possibly Ryan Neil. So cap space is very tight right now.Ultimately it comes down to whether they have enough cap space for this year. If they do, there is no reason to cut Adams.

RBs age like milk, just grab a rookie in round 4 or 5.Yah but there's also like 8 guys we'll cut that are in there for about $750K now, so there's another $6M. But agreed, most likely done with the FA market. Either way I was pretty happy with all the signings we got. ILB and RB is still a glaring hole but I think both can be addressed in the draft.
I would not be surprised if we snag another runningback though. There's quite a few available - I wouldn't mind Kareem Hunt.
I am curious to see what they plan to do at MLB. I feel like Bobby might still be in the cards.
