Great idea... maybe there's another Hayes or JvR out there we could get...... and toss in a few draft picks as well.
We cant pay all of our high priced defenseman so one or maybe two have to go. At least he doesn't have a contract where he can say he only wants to get traded to Florida.

Makes a ton of sense to move him. But the Flyers like the Risto/Sanheim pairing considering it was the excuse for re-signing Risto.

Backed themselves in to a corner where they can't win on Sanheim now. Either they trade him and get assets, like a rebuilding team should do with their limited valuable assets. But that also admits the Risto re-signing was dumb. Or they keep him, like a rebuilding team should not do, but then they save face and can trot a Sanheim/Risto pair out there for a few more years.

My money is on the latter, unless Chuck gets the axe before the deadline. :hope:

I agree with this. If we could get rid of Sanheim/Prov at the deadline then next year deal DeAngelo at the deadline we should recoup a lot of picks for year three of Torts reign while growing the kids we have in the next two years.

Knowing Fletcher he'll extend all of these guys for four more years with a no trade claus.

Two exhibition games at home where we had 90% and 82% full capacity in the arena. People are still watching

Get ready to hear this summary a lot this season. We played hard, managed to even have the lead a couple times and really challenged them, but didn't have enough talent/skill to pull out the win in the clutch moments.

It's not bad considering the Islanders clearly dressed far more regulars than us tonight, but this could definitely get very old.

They were without Barzal, Palmieri, Clutterbuck, Pulock and Mayfield.

We were missing Couturier, Atkinson, Konecny, Farabee, Provorov, Risto, Deangelo, Ellis and Hart.

That's literally half of our team, so I don't think it was a fair fight, which definitely makes our effort and results feel a lot more encouraging.

All of that said, this 3-4 loss with 8 seconds left in OT would've been an absolutely crushing defeat to a rival in the regular season.

Glad that it didn't count...Lol

WTF Sanheim on the ice for over 27 minutes. Why run him into the ground in a preseason game?

I think its time to say good bye to Grosenick. We hardly knew Ye. :bolt:

Owen Tippett joins the goal sheet just in time for the season.

JVR never disappoints at minus 1 for the game.

Re-subscribed to ESPN+ for the regular season to start. Going on a monthly basis so I can bail if this team is too bad to watch
Very smart idea. Im buying the center ice package from spectrum as its only $70 for the season. If our team is so boring its unbearable to watch i can always watch the other teams.
