If we could get rid of Sanheim/Prov at the deadline then next year deal DeAngelo at the deadline we should recoup a lot of picks for year three of Torts reign while growing the kids we have in the next two years.Makes a ton of sense to move him. But the Flyers like the Risto/Sanheim pairing considering it was the excuse for re-signing Risto.
Backed themselves in to a corner where they can't win on Sanheim now. Either they trade him and get assets, like a rebuilding team should do with their limited valuable assets. But that also admits the Risto re-signing was dumb. Or they keep him, like a rebuilding team should not do, but then they save face and can trot a Sanheim/Risto pair out there for a few more years.
My money is on the latter, unless Chuck gets the axe before the deadline.
Knowing Fletcher he'll extend all of these guys for four more years with a no trade claus.
