On Thursday, in their first game since Kevin Durant injured his knee, the Nets fell to Boston by a score of 109-98. In some ways, Ben Simmons was the most effective player on the court for the Nets, racking up 13 assists and nine rebounds while being the only Brooklyn player to register a positive on-court rating (plus-10). However, he also went scoreless on the night, attempting just three field goals.

This motherfucker is on crack.

Talking about he will just cut my grass for free for a few months.

Uh, no…

Then he said, I will deal with it next week because I have a busy schedule today.

Da fuq?

Take your ass to Home Depot and replace my door and then your ass is fired.

I think the challenge system helped.

But, even that needs to be tweaked.

If your challenge is successful, you should keep it.

Agree about the selective enforcement.

But, that kinda runs along the lines of what @trojanfan12 said.

Different crews have different officiating styles.

Players and fans have to adapt accordingly.
Agree, no reason you shouldn’t get it back if you are right. With the fact there are more missed calls than any sport probably.

Or at least this: you should get two challenges, if you are successful with one of the two at any point you will receive your challenge back for the overturned challenge. So essentially you get 3 max.

6 challenges per game isn’t a huge deal from the 2. You add an extra 15 mins but that is a big step forward. Even your idea is a big help

He should fix it immediately. And as soon as he does fire his ass.

What an outta line thing to tell you or any home owner for that matter.

He fucked up.

Yep.
Damn...that's some messed up shit right there.
That dude likely has friends or knows someone that does that type of repair work.
Just tell him to contact someone to fix that situation today and for him to pay them out of his own pocket for the work, because it was of his doing.
Shouldn't come out of your pocket @Mecca

That said....hopefully you have some good home owners insurance that will cover that kind of damage.

Agree, that’s all coaches can do. But the league can’t just keep saying it’s part of the game and not trying to improve. Things should be getting better not worse.

What is the move though?

I have yet to hear any actual suggestion other than:

“Refs need to be better”.

That isn’t productive. This is the best of the best. Punishing them for missed calls isn’t going to help them do their jobs better.

That idea implies they aren’t trying.

Obviously it’s on the league to fix it, somewhat at least.

But, isn’t fans, players, coaches complaining about it afterwards part of it as well?

Luka Doncic has not committed a foul in his entire life.

Harden and Luka act as if they were hit with a scud missle every time down the court.

Lebron, Embiid and Giannis actually do get fouled, multiple times, on the same play.

Yet, no whistle is blown.

Someone is always gonna be upset about something if they lose.

Its probably as annoying to you guys to hear us complain about the refs as it is for me to watch the players cry about fouls after they damn near decapitate their opponents.

Such is life.

People complaining about bad calls here and there is fine.

What I take issue with is when people say things like:

“Refs don’t know the rules”

Or

“Refs are terrible at their jobs”.

No, it is just a really hard job. And batting average for a good official isn’t as high as people want it to be.

Obviously it’s on the league to fix it, somewhat at least.

But how?

More video reviews are great in theory, but that gets old if you stop the game every couple minutes.

Expedited review like the NFL has would be great for quick and obvious misses, especially end of game, but aside from that?

Nobody here is saying anything productive.

The point is things are headed in the wrong direction. Sure calls have always been missed but it’s getting worse. I don’t want to hear the players are more athletic, blah blah blah. If it takes a little longer to get it right so what? No reason they can’t do expedited reviews for the most aggregious stuff. They have the people just sitting in that room, dedicate one to each game and figure it out.

I’ve already said they could add another ref on the floor

Skybox ref for quick replays like did the ball hit the rim etc would be fine. Refs on the floor should never be the ones reviewing a challenge anyway, let the nba office handle those
