Cavs have 2 more losses than the Bucks- but overall, have 22 wins, which is the most in the league.

I am a little surprised considering how they have blown some games on the road and kind of fell apart in some games down the stretch. I did not think they would be winning at this level so quickly.

Nets are getting scary though. Celtics, Bucks, Nets, Sixers are all teams that I think would be pretty favored against the Cavs in a playoff series due to the Cavs youth and inexperience.

Obviously we have so long to go though- still December- plays don't start for what? 4 months?
Still VERY early but it seems like homecourt would be a huge advantage for the Cavs. Best in basketball. Obviously anything can happen and it’s a long season though

The Lakers are a win ahead of the Magic.

Bruh.
LeBron has been playing very well but he is not what he used to be and he is going to get tired and he will get some injuries and miss some games. All the reports are Davis' foot injury might be more serious than initially reported.

Gun to my head- do the Lakers miss the playoffs? I would think yes unless they make a significant deal.

Our home court has been great and the defense has been one of the best in the NBA- maybe the best. Defense definitely travels.

Obviously the formula in the playoffs is to hold serve on your home court and try and steal a game or two on the opponents. The Cavs are well suited to do those 2 things so anything is possible.

I am glad they have built up a little bit of a lead over teams like the Hawks, Raptors and Heat who are teams, that at least when the season started, were all in our territory.

Its a long season and things can change but I am glad we have at least a 5.5 game lead on all those teams that gives us a little breathing room if an injury or two occurs.

Sabonis did not even play well. Kings are not bad and Mike Brown actually has them playing disciplined basketball which has not happened in Sacramento in decades it seems.

Without Davis the Kings are easily the more talented team.
AND DOMAS STILL GOT A TRIPLE DOUBLE

KINGS HAD DISCIPLINES BEFORE THEY TRADED IMAN, JUSTIN JACKSON

AD PLAYED THE PREVIOUS MEETING AND THEY STILL LOST :heh::heh::heh::heh::heh::heh::heh:

The Playoffs?

Dude, most of us had them borderline playin.

Unless they make a trade, who are they passing?

Shit, they just got lapped by OKC, who aren’t even really trying to win.

SGA is just such a fucking STUD, they can’t avoid it in close games.

If Davis is truly gone a month and no trade?

They are fucked and NOLA gets a lottery pick.

I will tell ya- Maarkanen, Sexton, Agbaji, 3 first rounders and 2 pick swaps is a heavy heavy price to pay- and some day that bill will come due---- but it looks like so far it has been worth it.

How the trade will ultimately be judged years from now is how successful the Cavs are with Mitchell, and if they can keep the team together and make sure those picks and swaps are not high level picks- at least not most of them. I think the last pick is due in 2029 which is obviously so far away---- so by then who knows. On the bright side- Mobley will only be 29 then and the best player in basketball :)

but seriously- if they can make have some deep playoffs runs, and make a Finals or two, and maybe win one- it will obviously be well worth it--- but so much depends on 1. Mitchell resigning after his 3 years. 2. Mobley developing into the top level player that he has the potential to be and signing long term.

If Mitchell and Mobley re-sign it will be worth it it all likelihood. If they do not- it will get very very hairy and the Cavs will be looking at a protracted period of irrelevance in the late 2020's-early 2030's.

For a market like Cleveland though- I think you have to take the chance when you hit on picks like Mobley, Garland, and get Allen.

We know Gilbert will spend to keep this team together and the cap keeps going up.
Why do you post this same post like every week?

His next contract will probably be 10-12 mill per season

Probably.

He might get a bit more. Might take less to play where he wants to play (maybe Cleveland).

But everything I said about Love over the years was spot on. And the moment Gilbert signed him to that extension he turned Love from a tradeable asset to a liability.

It has worked out in the long run because the team turned things around much faster than anyone could have imagined and Love is playing a valuable role today.

But like you said, he ain’t worth anywhere close to what he is getting paid.

I know. He bragging up a guy making 30 mill for a guy off the bench.

Not ideal for most teams.
