Schroder can’t guard a fly
I used to think he was a good defender.

Maybe he used to be.

But, now he goes into the Kawhi, Lebron, PG, Pat Bev reputation defender category.

Because, those,Dudes are cooked defensively too, outside of the occasional play here and there.

That sounds like a workable solution.

Thanks, my guy.
no problem.

Not to go on and on, but one more thing to think of. 250k is a good amount of money.

I have not looked lately, but with interest rates rising I would not just plop it into a generic savings account. Maybe have 20-30k in the account and sweep into it as necessary and put the rest into CD's or a low risk investment fund.

With interest rates rising I gotta think CD's are paying between 3-5% interest right now. Even if its just 3%, on 200k that is 6k a year. Its pretty minimal fuss as well.

Ewwwwww…..

@Wamu @Gman

I know this is something that has happened in the past, matter of fact, didn’t Atlanta get 4?

But, should it happen this year?

Who doesn’t make it to put Smart in?

Brunson?

Ewwwww…lol

The Bulls? That's a dumb take. Boston is an MJ Pippen build

No, I appreciate this.

I was looking at doing a 5 year cd.

His rent is about 2k per and I’m paying his car off.

So, outside of his utilities, I have him put in a fricking grocery delivery order from Walmart or Amazon, give him some discretionary funds for gas etc and I’m done with his ass.

Dude is so screwed up that he can’t even be trusted to manage going to the grocery store and he’s 50.

I will tell ya- Maarkanen, Sexton, Agbaji, 3 first rounders and 2 pick swaps is a heavy heavy price to pay- and some day that bill will come due---- but it looks like so far it has been worth it.

How the trade will ultimately be judged years from now is how successful the Cavs are with Mitchell, and if they can keep the team together and make sure those picks and swaps are not high level picks- at least not most of them. I think the last pick is due in 2029 which is obviously so far away---- so by then who knows. On the bright side- Mobley will only be 29 then and the best player in basketball :)

but seriously- if they can make have some deep playoffs runs, and make a Finals or two, and maybe win one- it will obviously be well worth it--- but so much depends on 1. Mitchell resigning after his 3 years. 2. Mobley developing into the top level player that he has the potential to be and signing long term.

If Mitchell and Mobley re-sign it will be worth it it all likelihood. If they do not- it will get very very hairy and the Cavs will be looking at a protracted period of irrelevance in the late 2020's-early 2030's.

For a market like Cleveland though- I think you have to take the chance when you hit on picks like Mobley, Garland, and get Allen.

We know Gilbert will spend to keep this team together and the cap keeps going up.

thats a bummer. I have a pretty big family- especially on my mom's side- and I can tell you there are one or two cousins who just cannot put it together. My one cousin is 23 and I do not think he has ever had a job.

He did not graduate high school on time, and had to take summer classes online to graduate, and then bragged how he paid one of his classmates in weed to do the courses for him.

Its too bad. He is lucky to have a sister that will at least provide some of the basic necessities for him.

HAHA LAKERS LOST
Sabonis did not even play well. Kings are not bad and Mike Brown actually has them playing disciplined basketball which has not happened in Sacramento in decades it seems.

Without Davis the Kings are easily the more talented team.

I wonder if the Bulls really will blow it up. If they do obviously LaVine is going to be the first shoe to drop.

Its not a bad team on paper but without Ball they just have no one to bring everyone together and put everyone on the same page. He is actually really important to them.

They could probably jump start a rebuild by trading LaVine, DeRozan, Vucevic, Caruso. Keep Ball and Patrick Williams I would say.

but a lot of teams start out bad. It would surprise me if they blew it up unless it continues to really be bad.

They still owe picks in the Vuv and Derozan trades, I think.

Yikes

Cavs have 2 more losses than the Bucks- but overall, have 22 wins, which is the most in the league.

I am a little surprised considering how they have blown some games on the road and kind of fell apart in some games down the stretch. I did not think they would be winning at this level so quickly.

Nets are getting scary though. Celtics, Bucks, Nets, Sixers are all teams that I think would be pretty favored against the Cavs in a playoff series due to the Cavs youth and inexperience.

Obviously we have so long to go though- still December- plays don't start for what? 4 months?

The Lakers are a win ahead of the Magic.

Pippen MJ

Never 3 all stars
Obviously I am bias but you could argue the Cavs should get 3 over Boston.

Mitchell is a shoe-in. Garland is a reserve and Allen or Mobley could be a replacement. Smart doesn’t deserve to be on the ballot. He means a lot to that team but that doesn’t mean he is an all-star
