True, but at the very least settle him on a dominant shooting hand lol. Also, projecting potential 3 pt range because he hit 33% in college (on only 3 attempts), look at the 67% FT and back off those projections a little. A 6'10 player that doesn't shoot the 3 is going to struggle as a perimeter player.

If not for his enormous salary, I think he's fixable in the right program with the right coaching. Gotta be a Dray-style role though, defense/rebounding with the occasional offensive production. Unfortunately, the salary reboot doesn't come until summer of 2025.
His rookie year I was saying his dad fucked him up when he told him to change up from being a righty (his dominant hand) to a lefty. I think it’s too late to switch it back now.

I can't see that at all. What interest should the Celtics have in Trae, Collins, or Capela? At least in trade for Brown? Maybe something could be put together with the Hawks for other Celtics pieces, but not Brown IMO. I suppose maybe a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 around Murray maybe?
I don’t think Trae fits with Tatum. I would think Collins Capela and DeAndre Hunter are guys the Celtics could have interest in. Less so on Capela. Celtics like a 5 who can space. They already have RWIII who can’t.

Simmons didn't have nearly the hype of LeBron or Wem. Neither did Zion.

Wemby didn't have the US exposure of Zion or Simmons, who both played major college basketball (well, is LSU a major program lol?). We've seen highlight packages, but not really the weaknesses or any struggles yet.

Zion's hype was contained a bit by a proliferation of talent on Duke which limited his impact. That freshman class had Tre Jones, Reddish, and Barrett in addition to Zion. They had just sent Grayson Allen, Trent Jr, Bagley, and Carter Jr to the draft. Talk about embarrassment of riches...

You always want a player to develop their off-hand, but trying to switch dominant hands is just dumb.

Collins just hasn't been very good for a while now. Hunter will be starting his 4 year 90M extension. I would think the discussion would start with Murray/Bey and 2023 #15.

If he's playing mostly from the post, that can be an asset. Stepping out though, bad news.

If there is any karma or justice on the world he makes oden look durable

I really don't get your problem with the Spurs winning the lottery. They have possibly the weakest roster to put around Wemby of the lottery teams to start free agency with.

I’d take John Collins in a heart beat. I think he’s a great player in a bad spot.

3 way trade overhaul? Nets thin out their wings, Hawks get their star to pair with Trae, Celtics extend Murray (cheaper than Brown) and improve their depth.

Celtics: Murray, Collins, O'Neale, Sharpe
Hawks: Brown, DFS
Nets: Smart, Horford

Might need some fine tuning, trade machine isn't updated for the new league year. Maybe Hawks #15 is involved?

I just don’t think the Celtics can hamstring themselves with 2 supermax guys. Something is going to change.
Yeah it would be different if they won a title but even the W's were pretty lucky. Klay never got to supermax and even then they had to pay crazy luxury tax. Paying two supermax guys and even though they are both young...no titles yet with many opportunities. If they would have won this year or last year than things would be different. He is most likely gone.

Why would the Nets want two guys on the back end that are high salary? They can do better with their pieces.

The writers mistake is the Celtics loss

Harris and 29 first?

Obviously the one thing that the Raptors lack is a tweener forward....
I don’t see how that makes them better. If Harden walks they should hang on to Harris and go shopping next summer.

I don't see how the Raptors should do it without Maxey.
