I don't know if he was gonna take time off, but there was some talk that he wasn't interested in the Pistons a couple of days ago. Looks like Detroit said "Fine" and started parking Brinks trucks outside his house until he said yes

Q was saying Toronto shouldn’t do it for Harris expiring and the draft pick that they should also demand Maxey. I’m saying at that point I’m out. I think it’s dumb to be the team shipping two players for one AND you’re trading the best player in the deal.

I agree. I wouldn't sacrifice the future for FVV. If they're sending Maxey, they need to be getting a better player back.

He's come up as an (unrealistic) option as a S&T for the Lakers with DLo as well, which has multiple issues. First, Toronto has to want DLo enough to take the hard cap, and the Lakers would need FVV to pick up his option to avoid the S&T hard cap.

He just doesn't want FTs slowing down the game. I don't see it as a problem. This doesn't stop the potential for reviews, it just rewards bad FT shooters with more points. Nonsense really.

Just a rumor so far, but Portis reportedly wants to reunite with Ham in LA. What would it take to get that deal done? Bamba and draft capital? Portis has a 15% trade kicker, might have to throw in additional salary like Shaq Harrison, or send Beasley instead?

I think the whole salary has to be guaranteed for the salary match on the trade. Might need to be more salary included due to Portis' 15% kicker.
