RoCo.

Gotta get under the 2nd tax ceiling to use the exception to bring him back.

I guess the next question is what are Russ' salary expectations. Is the exception enough?

10 mil is all we can offer.

So, they are banking on him wanting to stay in LA.

That’s less than what we pay RoCo to waive a towel.

In a perfect world, they would deal Mook.

Who is taking his washed ass?

Now is Indiana's time to shine. Make Brooks a superstar in Indy @HurricaneDij39

Honestly, aside from Cane and his Pacers, what team looks at Dillon Brooks and says "yeah, he would definitely help us".

I can't think of a single team. Young teams might not want his brash nature infecting their young core. Older teams don't want the headache of dealing with him as a teammate. He doesn't make a single playoff team better right now.

If a guy with Boogie's skillset and production got blacklisted from the NBA, how can you justify Brooks getting a roster spot?

The Pacers actually could use him. They have non stop vaginas for days in that locker room and they play zero defense.

New rules to use exception and the amounts.

The new tax apron is possibly the most important aspect of this deal. Teams operating in the luxury tax will now be met with a new hurdle: a second apron line of $17.5 million over the luxury tax line that introduces restrictions on roster construction. This mechanism is meant to penalize teams such as the Bucks, Clippers and Warriors, all of whom are paying deep into the tax for championship contenders this year. Teams that exceed this apron will not be allowed to use their taxpayer mid-level exception, cannot sign buyout players during the season and cannot take more money back in trades.

But, he talks you into ass whoopings, shoots too many 3’s.

They should try to get DFS, Oneale……even Thybulle is a better option.

They have young guys.

Don’t need to add a malcontent to the mix nor the locker room.

I bet he signs a 1 year prove it deal.

There are so many G League options that also provide a 3/D wing. They come with a fraction of the cost and without the antics.

Hell I'd take Bruce Brown Jr. over him any day.

The 2023 Free Agent class has some real depth to it. Lots of good value to be had on the Mid Level this year, imo.

You should let him go. Yeah, his playoff series was a nice moment but its fool's gold. He looked good because he had the ball in his hands all the time. Theoretically if Kawhi and George are ever healthy together, that won't be the case. You already have guards with Mann and Hyland and you can get others if need be to backfill minutes. You're already limited in what you can offer and you don't have bird rights on Westbrook. What he brings isn't a high priority need. Use what limited options you have to get better 4 play (because Morris is straight butt cheeks)

His big fucking mouth and no-show screwed him up big time. Cost him millions probably

No need to prove anything, he’s a role player with a big mouth that wants to make himself the story. Not going to be a lot of demand for that.

Bro, it doesn’t matter.

Clippers are going nowhere fast if they are counting on Kawhi or George.

Westbrook doesn’t hurt, even if he doesn’t help.

Yep, Russ sells tickets, which helps with the move to the new arena in 2024.

Russ is going to want to get paid. Some bottom dweller with cap space will give that to him too.

Dunno if that’s where Russ is in his career, right now.

He wants to be with his family and the Clippers have zero expectations of winning with Kawhi on the shelf until Lord knows when.

So, who knows.

Id like to have him back.

But, it’s meh either way.

I seriously doubt any team throws him a bag of more than the mid level.

If that’s all he’s getting, might as well stay home and have zero pressure.
