Meanwhile, basketball has changed and it’s become a guard and wing driven league with the best players. Embiid is about to average over 30 a game for the second consecutive season.

Nah, that’s overblown. Efficiency doesn’t explain putting a guy alongside Wilt Russell Bird. Disagree. He’s an elite PG and because he’s a 7ft center he scores highly in assist and rebound metrics and analytics go gaga over him. He’s a great player. A 3 time MVP for a guy who hasn’t won anything? Specious.

He's not up against those guys. He's up against guys currently in the league. If he's best three in a row, so be it. I wouldn't bet on it, simply since voters get bored and want someone new to champion. Ask Lebron, lol.
