I’m not saying boo outside of laughing at this conversation playing out on ESPN after it played out here already. I’m a mutha fucking trend setter. The World Wide Leader In Sports takes their cues from me haha.
Yup you looked every bit as good as Perk did. Congrats.

Kidding aside...that young core all seem like they get along well. It wouldn't surprise me if they opt to stay together for quite awhile to see what they can accomplish.
I hope so....

the only one that is even close to being up is Mitchell in 2 years after this year......and if the Cavs keep developing and Mobley and Garland take the next step-- I gotta think Mitchell will probably take the most money that can be offered and stay to play on a winner.

but ya never know.

I think people are starting to under value Garland long term. A lot of the scouts, other players, and people that really watch the league love Garland's game and where it can go. I have heard a few national guys come on Cleveland radio and say they think Garland has a lot of CP3 minus the elite defense in him---- and that he can be on of the best distributors in the league and combine that with very elite shooting.

But but but the stats my guy. The stats!!!! Extrapolated for touches they’re nearly identical. Jokic gets 17% more touches per game. When we add 17% to Sabonis points it becomes 22.3 PPG his assists go to 8.2 APG. Rebounds aren’t touch dependent so we won’t mess with that.

WTF! I brought my calculator, my abacus, and my algorithms as every Jokic discussion demands and this man that has been sold to me as a great statistical oddity unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Yet he compares similarly to Sabonis a likely 3rd team All NBA guy. How can that be? I’ve been told that it’s these stats that justify 3 straight MVPs putting him in rare air with Wilt Russell and Bird. Some serious holes in this narrative. No worries though, Nuggets media will dig up some more VORPs and RAPTORS to explain it all away.

That is an incredible stat

For the record I always had him #1 on
My draft baker for his year

For both him and KAT I was way ahead of the mainstream calling them both 1-1 on my board
We already discussed the fugaze nature of this stat though because it just leaves out like 7-8 seasons of prime Shaq. Embiid still has work to do to pass Shaq’s like 47 or 49. Can’t recall the exact number but it’s in this thread back a few pages.

No on Sabonis for MVP? I agree. The fact that these two guys are very similar in a stat based comparison? Absolutely. And the stats are what drives the Jokic should be 3 time MVP bus.

It's bizarre the home/road splits for the Ws this year. Not going to repeat that's for sure.
Long ways to go in this one, I’d bet the Warriors will lead again at some point

During the break a dude made the half court shot for $20k. He then announced he was buying season tickets next year.

See, that is just it though.

The volume matters. And it is the efficiency with which Jokic produces on such high volume that makes him special.

Sure but that doesn't change my take, their road record is putrid. They have 10 games left on the road incljuding this one, if they can go 7-3 or something I might believe in them again.

Embiid with 39 in only 3 quarters to destroy the TWolves on the road without Harden. I’m going ahead and mixing him to the top of my MVP ladder.

Poole with his usual not helpful 1-5 from 3

Not to mention they just don't play defense on the road. Oh well, let another team win for a change.
