In a one year situation I agree. How do you ignore the playoff results you saw now in year 3?

Because it is a regular season award. The last two seasons, the Nuggets lost in the second round once and lost in the first to the eventual champions last year. The Sixers haven't exactly been going deep into the playoffs either, losing in the second round twice; who are you deferring the award to?

What do the Sixers have to do with Jokic being named MVP 3 times a row? I have posted now like 8 or 9 times that I think Giannis is the MVP. His team is the best in the league, playing in a real conference, and he’s the focal point of their offense and defense.

Like Barkley said though..

Regular season award.

If we want post season success factored in, then it should be awarded in June.

And guys like LeBron and MJ would have twice as many.

I'd be fine with that

This year perhaps, but you have been more than vocal in support of Embiid for the past two.

Real conference, lol? One championship since 2008 led by a player currently playing in the East (of course, Giannis).

Wait…are you saying the West isn’t dog shit this year? There are two teams in the West with a winning road record. The 2 seed in the West would be the 5 seed in the East at best and probably lower if they played a schedule slanted more toward East opponents than West.

So lebron shouldn't have won any mvps because the east was weak all those years?
Aren’t we talking about a regular season award? Just lay out the rules for this shit and there won’t be a problem.

The West is more competitive.
