But there is plenty of basketball just not NBA...

I really need a rooting interest or I’m just a casual. The Flyers have ruined hockey for me and my alma mater St Joe’s has ruined college basketball for me. I can’t tell you who is good in either sport right now. I’ll watch the tournament (like a casual) and I’ll check out random NHL playoff games (my favorite playoff competition) but I just can’t follow on the regular anymore. Too much more fun follows with Eagles Phillies Sixers and a sprinkle of Notre Dame football.

I should amend my comment above, McCombs was the SA businessman who bought the team from somewhere else in the ABA and then renamed them in 1973
