First Warriors game and I guess the Thunder
Doubt it. Season done if they only win 2 of those games. Leaves them at 29-37 with 16 games left almost needing to play perfect. That would require them to finish the season like 13-3 to finish top 10 imo

I think they beat warriors on Thursday, go 1-2 on the mini road trip then go 2-1 at least on the mini homestand to end this stretch

Yeah, the season would be done. Everyone (fans and media) is acting like its a foregone conclusion they're gonna go on a run now because they got some guys and Westbrook is gone. But they basically remade their whole team. It takes time to build solidarity and this late in the season while absolutely needing wins isn't the best time to do it. And then there's the Darvin Ham factor too. Did he elevate his coaching over the all star break because his decision making has cost them close to 10 games this season. I can easily see them losing a couple of games solely because of some stupid late game decision from him. I think the only way they get it done is Lebron is back to playing like the beast he was before he got dinged up. Possible and he said he's gonna be out there, but he's dealing with even more nagging injuries than he was before he got dinged. I think its more likely the Lakers float around .500 or just under than it is they go on a run.

Not sure if sarcastic or not but I think we actually found the type of spot where he can be successful:
1. 20-25 minutes per game
2. Not allowed to shoot outside of 5 feet
3. Pass First Russ - drive and finish/get fouled or drive and kick to the shooter

Clippers have a ton of willing shooters that can knock down looks as the defense reacts to dribble drive. If Russ is ever going to stem this tide and get back to being a successful player who helps his team with his minutes, it’s a situation like the Clippers and the recipe I laid out above that would be the stuff to make it happen.

Getting fouled isn't ideal either. His free throw shooting has dropped considerably too.

He seemed to be getting better for his role in LA, the Clips just cannot put him in during crunch time. I would even say not even in the past 4-5 mins of any 4Q unless it is a shitshow.

Did you watch much Lakers this year? He's a total crapshoot. His best value is distributing the ball. He's very quick and effective getting to the rim with his speed, but those layups too often are at that same speed and no touch (just like his jumpers). It's like he's stuck on fast forward with numb hands.

Why does it seem like Tre Young had something to do with Nate's firing?
Am I imagining how temperamental, selfish and argumentative that dude is?
That said...players don't fired...but many coaches become scapegoats as a result.

Tre has been an issue with management all season. Seems ownership sided with Tre, even if only because it's easier to replace a coach than to get good trade value for a disgruntled star.

He's gotta lead the league in missed layups and I doubt it's close.
