Yep and that year they had a deep run was a fluke. Benefited from 9 months off while other 2-4 months. This year and last is what they really are. Play in material

Did he though? It's a wonder it didn't happen sooner. They've gotten worse the last 1.5 to 2 years and he's been butting heads with Trae Young and others on the team the entire time.

Which makes it that much more impressive when 1 guy is simply head and shoulders above the rest for many years.

But when you miss a large chunk of the season and your team does as well or better with you sidelined, you aren’t the MVP.

I would also add that Ja seems to be making some really bad choices on who he is hanging with. Probably equally likely to get incarcerated as he is to win MVP unless he fixes that.

Yep, the fact he has a real good shot at winning his third MVP in a row - the first since Larry Bird who last did it in '86, despite the league having a whole bunch of superstar players, should really say something.
